True that TOK, but some were more impacted than others. Hell, X had 3 1st round draft picks on defense alone opt out. We saw enough yesterday and, frankly all season long, to appreciate that there is no serious committee deliberative process, rationale nor set of metrics that exist that could reasonably put a 3 loss South Carolina, Alabama or Ole Miss in over 1 loss IU. The funny part is that Kiffin knows that too, he's just yakking to hear himself yak....if he put that much effort into coaching his team up to not lose to Kentucky at home, perhaps he'd be on the sideline for a post-season game somewhat more meaningful than playing Duke in the Gator Bowl. Sorry to vent, just don't like whiners....
Bob, if you were watching, you know that was the first. The second was the same kind of cheap shot on the QB. Both caused penalties and hurt the team. A short while after the second, he lay injured on the field. Hence my "Karma" comment. No place for that in sports.
McAfee said on GameDay that PSU was going to put 700M into the Football Stadium improvements and that they are "all in" on being a playoff team and a Nati'l Title contender. Also said PSU has more CEO"s than anybody, and they are also all behind getting the Football program to the top. Alos hard not to note the horrific act of violence in New Orleans last night. Sugar Bowl will go on, albeit with increased security.
Great story on Tez Johnson, Oregon WR, and how Bo Nix's family sort of adopted him and provided him the stable home he needed to become the person/player that he has become.
I wasn't looking for it, but I came across this article on Yahoo! that says the game will be played. Police: Sugar Bowl to go on after truck attack kills 10, injures 35 in New Orleans
Wow what a start, ASU has a 10+ play drive aided by 2 Texas penalties for a FG, Longhorns get the ball and score in 2 plays. 7-3 Texas.
I hate his but I get the need for safety. In the wake of a New Year's attack on Bourbon Street that resulted in at least 10 deaths, the scheduled Sugar Bowl matchup for Wednesday night has been postponed, New Orleans district attorney Jason Williams told CBS's WWL-TV. The College Football Playoff quarterfinal game between 2-seed Georgia and 7-seed Notre Dame is now scheduled to be played Thursday, Jan. 2 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Sugar Bowl postponed: New Orleans truck attack pushes Georgia vs. Notre Dame game to Thursday
ASU is dominating the stats, but losing the game. Maybe not dominating but leading in all the categories.
The stats are more now in favor of ASU. 19 1st downs to 6, 330 Total Yards to 126 and 32 minutes to 11 in TOP. Yet Longhorns still lead 17-8. Texas redzone defense is just what is keeping them on top.
