I have it on good authority that these cops taking down Baker Mayfield were former SEC Linebackers! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3Ze7jEdz5VQ" frameborder="0" gesture="media" allow="encrypted-media"></iframe>
kp...I've been under the opinion that Alabama defenses are best when confronted with an offense that runs a more standard offense which is what I see as the UGA offense. Downhill running, and a QB who throws but isn't a Deshaun Watson athletic/runner/thrower type of QB. Over on Inside Texas one of he MOD's said that Alabama's base defense is now more B12 like, going with a 4-2-5 nickel package. No more lining up in a 4-3 as in the past. Is he right?
So who knows more about the other guy than he knows about him and which fan base should be the most paranoid that all team strategy and ballplay secrets will not be secrets because of that familiarity between Saban and Smart?
Terry, UGA just put up 54 points on a B12 school so I'm hoping the Alabama defense is not like that. Alabama's base is 4-3. We have had quite a few injuries at the linebacker position so a lot of modifications have shown up. Alabama's defense really stepped up against Clemson. They were much more effective in that game than they were in the Auburn game. The matchups for this game should be interesting. These two teams are so much alike, except that Hurts is a better runner, and Fromm is the better passer. Hurts is still not very good at checking down to secondary and tertiary receivers. Of course, Georgia has 2 of the best running backs in the country. Since these 2 teams are so similar, I think the deciding factor will be who makes the fewest mistakes. I don't expect a high scoring game. 8)
MCG, Neither one if these coaches will worry about that. Both teams are pretty straight forward. "The Process" would be that even if the other guy knows what we are going to do, if we do our job they can't stop up anyway. 8)
If that's true, then the Dawgs should be terrified because the Tide just bitch-slapped Clemson all over the field.
Corey's favorite coach Jose Aquafresco, on the up coming game... 8) http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21950839/former-alabama-crimson-tide-offensive-coordinator-lane-kiffin-breaks-national-championship
