Correction on payouts:

55% to 1st

30% to 2nd

15% to 3rd

Anyone that registers for both the skybox and the Money pick-em, in case you were not aware, can import picks from one group to another with ease.

 

Last correction. I just heard from the man that used to run the money contest for that group and he sent me the criteria for payout that was used last year. And it is:


Less than 20 players - 1st 60%, 2nd 40%

20 but less than 30 - 1st 50%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%

30 but less than 40 - 1st 50%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%

40 or more - 1st 40%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 15%, 4th 10%, 5th 5%

Right now we have 9 when Gator Bill signs in. That is an increase of 5 just today alone. I have changed the commissioner's note to reflect the above payout info. As soon as the first game kicks off, I will post in the commissioner's note what the actual $ amount will be as long as all entry fees are received.

 

When you first signed up for the bowl contest, the teams were not selected for the 29-Dec Eagle Bank Bowl. They have now been posted. Please edit your picks.

On an FYI note..

I would be interested in your paid contest and want to thank you for offering it. Due to some potential changes in my life and potential employment I have to make clear that I cannot participate in said contest.

But I did want to thank you for offering the opportunity.

 

I understand.

 

We now have 18 in the Skybox contest and 13 in the payoff contest.

 

I don't know why I signed up for this. I don't usually do very well in this type of contest. But the price was right.

Right now, the Money contest has 17 players. That is $102 to the winner, and $68 to second place. Three more players and 3rd place will pay out as well.

 

Now both contests have 19 participants. the payout in the money contest is $114 for 1st and $76 for 2nd. One more participant opens it up to pay 1st through 3rd.

 

New interface sucks. I don't really like the pop up window that tells you how people are picking for each bowl, and I absolutely hate the having to drag the line around to change confidence points.

It's a classic case of fixing something that wasn't broken!
I don't mind the pop-ups so much, but the dragging mechanism is irritating as heck!

 

I'm with you Doc. That drag thins is....well, a drag.

This assumes that all entry fees are collected

 

I just replied to a PM from one of our members about wanting to get into the money contest but could not get the money here by the 18th. I may not have run this correction here but it is on the commissioner's note for the money contest for those that have signed up, I will copy it here:

As long as the entry fee is postmarked on the 18th or earlier, or paypal payment is made no later than kickoff of the 1st game, your entry will be valid. Anyone that signs up and does not send the entry fee will be removed from the group on the 4th of January when I get our stopped mail home to check for the envelopes.

 

There was no selection when setting up the Bowl pickem contest for pick deadline. It is hard coded to have the deadline be 5 minutes before EACH game. This will give us experience on whether we want to do this for the regular season net year or not.

That is good news for KP, Boondock Muskies, Beardown Rick, and wesuckagain. KP and Boondock Muskies decided to give us a 1 point head start by not selecting a winner in the 1 point game. Bear Down Rick and wesuckagain decided not to select anything.

Get those picks in guys and gals.
