Exactly... They care nothing about fixing the problem... they only want to control all the guns so there is no opposition to their agenda. This one person matters not to the left. they don't care!

I was watching and listening to this kid's stuff that night until MSNBC picked up his story. It's somewhat funny because I have a friend who lives outside of Watertown and I honestly had a hard time believing what they were telling me since it didn't match the public narrative at all.. but then that all changed and it turned out she was right (she had told me the older brother had been killed a long, long time before it was in the media). It wasn't until I heard this kid's account that I began to realize how far behind the story the major networks were.

If anyone followed the rambling on my fb page that morning, this is the kid who MSNBC had stick his face out the window to hold his laptop up so 'we could all get a better view of the car.' This is his Warholian 15 minutes, and I like the fact he used part of it to tell the NYPost to get bent. They're still begging him for his pictures, I hope he doesn't give in.. Also, looks like Anderson Cooper might have dicked this kid (figuratively) for his material. Anyway, here's the stuff:

    http://www.getonhand.com/blogs/news/7743337-boston-bombing-suspect-shootout-pictures

    and his twitter feed
    https://twitter.com/AKitz

If you know how to read the to/from of a twitter feed, the exchange between this kid and Avi Steinhart from the NYPost is pretty funny.

Here's a video of the shootout. You have to tilt your head to the right to make it out. It appears he shot it sideways with either his phone or laptop. All things considered, I'd have to say he's fairly brave/stupid to have taken this at all.

Report: Russia Contacted FBI “Multiple” Times About Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s Ties To Islamic Militants…
    [IMG]
Obama made it clear on day one the War on Terror was over, it was this culture that led to Tamerlan Tsarnaev falling through the cracks.

WASHINGTON — Russian authorities alerted the FBI not once but “multiple’’ times over their concerns about Tamerlan Tsarnaev — including a second time nearly a year after he was first interviewed by FBI agents in Boston — raising new questions about whether the FBI should have focused more attention on the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, according to US senators briefed on the probe Tuesday.

The FBI has previously said it interviewed Tsarnaev in early 2011 after it was initially contacted by the Russians. After that review, the FBI has said, it determined he did not pose a threat.

In a closed briefing on Tuesday, members of the Senate Intelligence Committee learned that Russia alerted the United States about Tsarnaev in “multiple contacts’’ — including “at least once since October 2011,’’ said Richard Burr, a Republican of North Carolina, speaking with reporters afterward.

Senators said the briefing also revealed failures among federal agencies to share vital information about Tsarnaev, indicating, they said, that the US government still has not established a strong system to “connect the dots’’ about would-be terrorists residing in America more than a decade after 9/11.

Mosque Boston Bombers Attended Has Ties To Radical Islamists, Jihadists…

    Via USA Today:

The mosque attended by the two brothers accused in the Boston Marathon bombing has been associated with other terrorist suspects, has invited radical speakers to a sister mosque in Boston and is affiliated with a Muslim group that critics say nurses grievances that can lead to extremism.

Several people who attended the Islamic Society of Boston mosque in Cambridge, Mass., have been investigated for Islamic terrorism, including a conviction of the mosque’s first president, Abdulrahman Alamoudi, in connection with an assassination plot against a Saudi prince.

And its sister mosque in Boston, known as the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, has invited guests who have defended terror suspects. A former trustee appears in a series of videos in which he advocates treating gays as criminals, says husbands should sometimes beat their wives and calls on Allah (God) to kill Zionists and Jews, according to Americans for Peace and Tolerance, an interfaith group that has investigated the mosques. [...]

The FBI has not indicated that either mosque was involved in any criminal activity. But mosque attendees and officials have been implicated in terrorist activity.

    • Abdulrahman Alamoudi, who signed the articles of incorporation as the Cambridge mosque’s president, was sentenced to 23 years in federal court in Alexandria, Va., in 2004 for his role as a facilitator in what federal prosecutors called a Libyan assassination plot against then-Saudi crown prince Abdullah. Abdullah is now the Saudi king.

    • Aafia Siddiqui, who occasionally prayed at the Cambridge mosque, was arrested in Afghanistan in 2008 while in possession of cyanide canisters and plans for a chemical attack in New York City. She tried to grab a rifle while in detention and shot at military officers and FBI agents, for which she was convicted in New York in 2010 and is serving an 86-year sentence.

    • Tarek Mehanna, who worshiped at the Cambridge mosque, was sentenced in 2012 to 17 years in prison for conspiring to aid al-Qaeda. Mehanna had traveled to Yemen to seek terrorist training and plotted to use automatic weapons to shoot up a mall in the Boston suburbs, federal investigators in Boston alleged.

    • Ahmad Abousamra, the son of a former vice president of the Muslim American Society Boston Abdul-Badi Abousamra, was identified by the FBI as Mehanna’s co-conspirator. He fled to Syria and is wanted by the FBI on charges of providing support to terrorists and conspiracy to kill Americans in a foreign country.

    • Jamal Badawi of Canada, a former trustee of the Islamic Society of Boston Trust, which owns both mosques, was named as a non-indicted co-conspirator in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation terrorism trial in Texas over the funneling of money to Hamas, which is the Palestinian wing of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This was Big Sis at Homeland Security again. Wasn't the reason for creating Homeland Security so that there would be better communication between the federal agencies? Easier to connect the dots? No more competitive rivalries? This isn't working...

Report: CIA Wanted Boston Bomber On Terrorist Watch List…
    [IMG]
    Via WaPo:

The CIA asked the main U.S. counterterrorism agency to add the name of one of the suspected Boston Marathon bombers to a watch list more than a year before the attack, according to U.S. officials.

The agency took the step after Russian authorities contacted officials there in the fall of 2011 and raised concerns that Tamerlan Tsarnaev — who was killed last week in a confrontation with police — was seen as an increasingly radical Islamist and could be planning to travel overseas. The CIA requested that his name be put on a database maintained by the National Counterterrorism Center.

That database, the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, or TIDE, is a data storehouse that feeds a series of government watch lists, including the FBI’s main Terrorist Screening Database and the Transportation Security Administration’s “no-fly” list.

Officials said Tsarnaev’s name was added to the database but it’s unclear which agency added it.

The CIA’s request came months after the FBI had closed a preliminary inquiry into Tsarnaev after getting a similar inquiry about him from Russian state security, according to officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.

The new disclosure suggests that the U.S. government may have had more reason than previously known to scrutinize Tsarnaev in the months leading up to the bombings in Boston.

The most American thing we can do is repeal the Patriot Act. It's really not good for anything other than violating basic human rights recognized by the U.N. and just burning the Bill of Rights for American citizens.

President Hope and Change has the power to pull it. Funny, of all the changes he could make and that's one that Democrats don't talk about anymore since they hold the Executive now. Remember when they thought it was evil?

Why Did Russia Warn Us About Suspect #1?

    USA TODAY -

    AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call.

In another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case, officials said.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2013/04/27/russia-bomb-suspect-wiretap/2117919/?csp=breakingnews

The conversations are significant because, had they been revealed earlier, they might have been enough evidence for the FBI to initiate a more thorough investigation of the Tsarnaev family.

As it was, Russian authorities told the FBI only that they had concerns that Tamerlan and his mother were religious extremists. With no additional information, the FBI conducted a limited inquiry and closed the case in June 2011.

Two years later, authorities say Tamerlan and his brother, Dzhohkar, detonated two homemade bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring more than 260. Tamerlan was killed in a police shootout and Dzhohkar is under arrest.

In another aspect of the investigation, FBI agents wrapped up a two-day search at a landfill near the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where 19-year-old Dzhokhar was a second-year student. FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller wouldn’t say what investigators were looking for or whether they recovered anything from the landfill before the search ended Friday.

In the past week, Russian authorities turned over to the United States information it had on 26-year-old Tamerlan and his mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva. The Tsarnaevs are ethnic Chechens who emigrated from southern Russia to the Boston area over the past 11 years.

Even had the FBI received the information from the Russian wiretaps earlier, it’s not clear that the government could have prevented the attack.

Report: “Mounting Evidence” Evidence Suggests Bomber Brothers Involved In Triple Homicide On 9/11/11
    [IMG]
Update to this story. Thought it not just coincidental they were killed on 9/11.

    Via Business Insider:

Law enforcement officials have told ABC News that “mounting” forensic evidence from an unsolved triple homicide ties Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to the crime.

Cell phone records also place the brothers in the area of the murders on the date they were committed.

On Sept. 11, 2011, three men were found in a residence with their throats slit and their bodies covered in marijuana.

Tamerlan described one of the murder victims, 25-year-old Brendan Mess, as his best friend. He and Mess were once roommates and boxed together. The two others who died were 31-year-old Erik Weissman and 37-year-old Raphael Teken, both of Cambridge.
