Terry (and AJ), has it occurred to you that your crossing over may have jinxed the Redbirds? They sure looked like the Lastros in those last two games.

Actually, IMO pitching was the difference.

It was the pitching Sid. JOCO called it a few posts ago when he said they had pitching for days....Cards just couldn't hit it.

Oh well, the Defending WS Champs still fared well for a 2nd WC team...they need to address some pitching issues of their own, and there's several players that need to be looked at real hard as to their worth to the team.

Give me good pitching and strong up the middle, and I'll show you a winning team.

Also, I agree with you Sid....Doc cross contaminated my Cards... :p

I'd say that the Cards had a pretty good season, considering they had a rookie manager, had to deal with the loss of Pujols, and had far from the strongest starting rotation in MLB. One thing about the Cards of this era, you can never count them out, even in their so-called down years.

Considering the loss of Pujols and the all of the injuries the Cards dealt with this season, the Cards had a great year.

The downfall was predestined when you invited that Thyphoid Mary Astros fan to jump on board at the end which turned your victory cruise into a ghost ship.

Need better security on the Cards vessel to avoid picking up refugees carrying loser microbes that can kill you.

After losing that bet to him re the ND debacle, he has fallen into the "or something" category.

Still waiting from him to indicate if he tried the milk chocolate syrup over vanilla ice cream, yet.
