    Terry,

No way... that "little" 10 game skid they had decided their fate short of a win yesterday.

    NIT for cubs... 8)

Buckeyes open up 6 point dogs to the Boilers.....no doubt due to the a$$-whipping the Boilers put on 'em in WLaf. Seems a little light to me, I would expect Stu would be willing to give me at least 10 given the youth and inexperience of these Buckeye babies playing in front of essentially a home crowd for the Boilers....Stu?

I forget in these Purdue/OSU matchups is Stu primarily a Purdue fan or a Buckeye fan. I'm always a ND fan in the infrequent ND/Texas matchups.

Tennessee and Mississippi State played to a 36 - 36 tie in the first half. Tennessee would be way out in front if they could make a basket or two. We are 39% from the field and only 58% from the line. 3 point land is suffering at 27%. Our defense is keeping us in the game while our offense is sputtering. This sounds too familiar. :?

As I recall, when pushed he bangs the big Boiler drum, but seems to have a very positive "I can't lose" outlook.....I wish I had my bets hedged as well as you guys, hell Corey too.....I only got one basket and not enough eggs!

8:50 left in the game and our field goal percentage is down 9% to a depressing 30%.

With 3:33 left, Bruce Pearl must rally his troops. Mississippi State is now up by 4 and we can't hit.

Now down by 3 with 1:15 left. If we lose this game, it will be due to pitiful shooting. We are still at 30% (19 - 62) from the field. We have the ball coming out of the time out. Can Tennessee dig deep and win the tourney for the first time since I was 21 years old?

12.4 left and down by 2. We have the ball and call a time out to set up the last shot. Will it be a 3 for the win or a 2 to send it into overtime? The way we are shooting today, it just might not matter.

5 seconds called on the inbounds pass. No excuse for that error. Now Mississippi State steps out of bounds. We still have life at 1 point down.

craziest last 10 seconds in a game I can ever remember.....nobody seems to want it....the officials, the players or the time keeper. Everybody is struggling.....hang in there Tom! 3 to tie.....hell, the way this game is going your kid will hit a 3, get fouled and win from the line....good luck.

I was afraid of this. I think we stood a better chance against LSU. Mississippi State had to have the win and were fighting for their lives. LSU would not have been so determined to win. Congrats to the Bulldogs. They earned the win.

Tough maybe, predictable... absolutely. You don't hover around 30% from the field and expect to win... not against a team fighting for their lives.

I'm certain they were, just don't know who. They were not expected to go to the dance without winning the tourney. As I type, Purdue has gone white hot and OSU ice cold.

    Tom,

2 teams that I noticed in tourney play that I thought were dangerous... Mississippi State and USC.

Both of them are much better teams than people realize, but both have struggled for various reasons... I dont think it is a shock that both won their conference tournaments because they were playing for their lives.

Purdue and Ohio State tough it how to the end for the Big Ten Conference Tournament. Congratulations Stu! Painter has done an excellent job. I like his demeanor.

Boilers deserved the win, but I am proud of my Buckeyes for making it a contest right down to the end.

Don, they went farther than we had any reason to expect given their youth and with the team leader Lighty going out before the start of conference play....a stretch of a couple minutes today where they seem to lose concentration cost them a bundle and eventually let the Boilers prevail....proud of this group tho, they exceeded expectations and if they shoot well in the tourney, who knows? Congrats to the Boilers....

I was on pins and needles 'till it was over...E'Twan Moore stepped up late in the second half to hit some threes that gave us back the lead.

I thought both teams played really well.

Buckeyes would have really been a factor this year with Lighty...Turner is a monster off the dribble and almost carries the team to wins by himself...

I really like Hill, Buford, and Simmons...they are just getting better.

Mullins has a long way to go.
