And Nomar strikes out to end the game. Mets record 13 Ks. Delgado goes 4 for 5.

Rick, Vin is slipping up. That wasn't the old Brooklyn Dodgers.

That was a typical LA freeway traffic jam !!

The L.A. Times ran this photo on the front page today with the following caption...

    LOL Rick,

I couldn't help but think of an LA traffic jam when I saw that play.

I don't think he actually got the 2nd runner, from the replay I saw...it looked like the guy slid under his tag but the ump couldn't see it. But nobody complained so I guess he did get him.

When you're that stupid, they call you out anyway...

BTW- that doubleplay at the plate was made by three ex-Dodgers in the field: Shawn Green to Jose Valentin to Paulie Lo Duca...

BTW-BTW the two clowns who don't know how to run the bases are the highest paid players on the team, making a combined $22 million...

My question is: who was coaching third?

The Dodgers 3rd base coach is Rich Donnelly; a good Irishman who is one of the best in the business. He's a vast improvement over Jim Tracy's offense coach Glenn Hoffman, who was terrible. I would rate Donnelly as among the best I've ever seen running the Dodgers offense; on a par with Tommy Lasorda or Leo Durocher. Don't blame him because two stars went brain dead at the same time. He publicly took responsibilty, but it was the players fault. Drew in particular is one of the dumbest players I've ever seen here...
