Whew...that game was way too tense.

Puig's prediction of a sweep falls flat:

It is going to be really tough for the Brewers bullpen to hold up against LA's relentless line up.

Gritty win by LA coming back from a 3-0 defecit to win 4-3.

Not sure my heart is going to hold up if the games for the rest of the series are like the first two.

Astros doing what the Astros do... Bash you. Joel probably already in bed and isn't seeing this. I think we've seen the whole rSox bullpen.

Back to even. The rSox really rocked Gerrit Cole last night. I was surprised that he made it 6 innings. I guess Hinch was determined not to wear out his bullpen last night by starting to use them in the 3rd inning .

When Bregman hit that ball to left field in the 9th I thought...go , go , go...but it was just a deep fly out.

Going up 2-0 would have pretty much guaranteed the Astros going back to the WS. Probably will go the full 7 games though.

    Dodgers/Brewers back at it tonight.

I really don't like the 2-3-2 format. Much prefer the 2-2-2-1 format.

The Dodgers lost tonight by playing bad baseball. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, your #1 objective during the entire at bat is to get a ground ball to the right side of the field to bring home the run. If you do anything else, it better be a HR or a double in the gap, but you should be trying to hit the ground ball to the right side of the INF.

Also, this modern move of 'the shift' just drives me crazy. If you can run even at modest speed, you should slap hit or bunt to the hole of the shift. It will end the shift and make them play you straight up, which would create more hits. Instead, everyone keeps hitting headlong into the shift.

The guy throwing for the Brewers was serving average stuff, at best. I feel for my Dodgers loving family after watching that game. If I was that frustrated, I can't imagine how frustrated they were.

Were you watching the same pitcher I saw? He threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings, 3 hits, 6 SO. A masterful performance vs. a murderous lineup. Definitely not average stuff.

It goes back to my original point though Sid. The Dodgers were swinging from their heels when all they needed to do was shorten up and put the ball in play. That guy was in trouble multiple times and all the Dodgers had to do was play fundamentally sound baseball. Instead, they (like so many others) swing from their ass with an upward trajectory trying to hit a HR in every at bat.

Maybe I'm just too old school, but it's the little things that win baseball games and I don't see the Dodgers doing the little things right now. Good gracious, that at bat with Grandal where he had runners at 2nd and 3rd was just atrocious. Even the announcers were calling for a ground ball to the right side and he even got 2 mid 80s change ups to shorten up and do it on... Just terrible IMHO.

So Corey, growing up in a Dodger family, in Dodgertown...how is it that you are not a big Dodger fan?

Astros screwed again by TV getting the afternoon game and not the prime time game. No respect for the defending WS champs.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Dodgers. They are my clear #2 team. My grandfather JOCOII was a bit of an a-hole, but we agreed on one thing... the Red Sox.

Sox thump the Showstros and the Dodgers win in a walk off 14 inning classic (if you like pitching).

Black eye for the Astros. Who do we think we are, the Patriots? Did we use an Apple Watch like the Red Sox did last year? :)

BTW, I didn't see the Dodgers/Brewers game, but reading about Machado this morning and his bush league antics makes me wonder has he always been a Dbag or is this an isolated incident.

Of all sports baseball stands alone at the head of the class when it comes to cheating. Its amazing what teams and individual players will do to gain an edge.

I pray that the Yankees don't make a move on Machado at the end of the year. We don't even need him and his attitude sucks. We already have one bum from Baltimore in Zach Britton.

Brewers let game 4 get away from them and lost out on a golden opportunity to take control of the series. Now its back to Milwaukee down 3-2.

After watching Puig's and Machado's antics for 5 games, I suspect most Dodger fans would not be sorry if both players are wearing different uniforms next year.
