Mariners won tonight and are at 3-2 just 1 win away from the WS face off with the Dodgers.

Ohtani with 2 homers with the 2nd landing in the Pacific Ocean. 4-0 Dodgers in the 5th. At least I am not a Badgers fan who, after tonight’s sweep, get to look forward to the Ohio State game tomorrow. Helps one understand why alcohol is mother’s milk in Wisconsin.

Dodgers complete the sweep. The Dodgers starting pitching turned this into the Dream Team vs Angola matchup.

I doubt if anybody can come up with a greater game by a player than what Ohtani did last night. I mean he went 6 shutout innings with 10K's and then to go 3 for 3 at the plate with all three being HR's? Might be some guys who did it at the plate just as good or even better but none of them also pitched.

If he's not the greatest baseball player of the post WWII era then I don't know who it is.

Joe once pulled his abscessed molar with pliers after having drunk several glasses of whiskey pre op. Terry will not like a guy who does that.

Game 7 tonight in the ALCS, it's in Toronto. I'm thinking the Blue Jays win the right to get slaughtered by the Dodgers.

I keep seeing reports that the Giants are going to hire the Vol baseball coach. He's certainly been very successful at Tenn, but has no MLB experience at all. The Brewers Pat Murphy spent a lot of time as a college baseball coach at ND and Arizona State, but also spent a lot of time in MLB before getting the Milwaukee job.

Tony Vitello has zero MLB experience. Seems like a big reach for the Giants.

Albert Pujols looking like he's going land a MLB job some place, talked to the Angels, now talking to the Padres and supposedly the Orioles are interested. Big Al no doubt one of AJ's favorite Cardinal players ever. As an Astros fan, he tortured us and I grudgingly admired him.

Former Astro George Springer was the hero with his 3 run HR. Good for him, he was a key player the 2017 Astos who beat the Dodgers in the WS.

With Seattle's defeat I've lost interest in the WS. I was hoping that Seattle would make it for the first time ever. Maybe some day. Because I love baseball, I'll watch, hoping the Jays can unseat the behemoth Shotanidgers.

AJ, as much as I love the season the Cubs had, the NLC needs the Cardinals to be competitive. Whatever it takes.
