I saw that on social media and thought it could be an invitation for the Division Series umpiring crew to stop in on their way up to Milwaukee and meet the friendly Cubs fans.

Well deep pocket Cubs fans might be a little disappointed with getting down 9-1 right off the bat!

For tho those not familiar with Cubs traditions or who just don’t care, we don’t fly an L flag when we lose, only a W flag when we win. Darn AI.

Flying the L was a tradition created at Wrigley Field North following a 11-1 win in 2018 after Cole Hamels was quoted as describing the Brewers as not much of a rival. Brewers fans might be drunks but we are sensitive people.

Haha! I love it. The only time I've been in Milwaukee (when I called you, Bob) I loved the city. We went to a Brewers game and I really liked the people. I liked Cole Hamels as a ballplayer but I think he was full of crap to say what he did.

Well Yankee's are taking it on the chin today, down 11-0 in the 5th inning.

Pat Murphy definitely got the Brewers ready to play after the wild card break. 7-3 Brewers after 8 and I suspect a horde of cars with Illinois plates carrying sad-faced fans are now leaving the friendly confines of Wrigley North. Bon Voyage!

But is still remains a 3 out of 5 series.

I think Crow Armstrong needs to learn that the strike zone does not run from the dirt to his eyebrows.

Bobda, I believe Pat Murphy should be NL Manager of the Year. The mentor has pretty well handled the mentee this season. If the Brewers move on, I'll be rooting for them to win their first WS, not the first for Milwaukee, but the first for the Brewers.

I would like to see the Brewers win it all as well, but it will be a big challenge to beat the Dodgers.

350M payroll vs 113M. It is a contest between a Ferrari and a Honda Civic LX

Yeah...Cleveland won the division with 100M payroll...won the division (I think) 7 of last 10 years including one AL pennant. Need to have a whole different strategy other than throwing money at free agent veterans...Player development and early contract extensions...and guys like Jose Ramirez who could have signed for more but likes it with the Tribe.

The Evil Empire strikes back beating the Brewers 4-3. Preister crapped the bed getting shelled in the 1st inning while Theilbar and Keller shut the door on the good guys in the 8th and 9th.

Cubs have to win 3 straight to move on, might be hard to do iMHO.

I see that the Tigers and the Mariners are going to Game 5, Tigers have Skubal for Game 5...I'm thinking that means Seattle will be going home.

Yankees are down to the BlueJays right now. If they lose they are going home.

Evil Empire? LOL! Haven't heard that one until now. I'm learning a lot more than has been made public about the intensity of the rivalty, with the L flag and the Evil Empire moniker. The problem is, I like both teams. Oh well.Wait 'til next........Oops! we still have 2 games to play (hopefully).

I’m going to bed. Cubbies are kicking our ass for the second night in a row beating our ace Freddy Peralta. Do or die Saturday night as the good people of Milwaukee await another invasion of the bitcoin investing louts from the toll road flatlands.
