I didn't see this coming, but it's one of those things where Kyle Tucker will be a free agent next year and reportedly wants 500M and the Astros aren't willing to pay that so it's better to trade him now rather than wait and get nothing. I don't know any of the Cubs players we're getting but none of them are likely to take Tuckers place in terms of value to the team.
Terry, i have family members (including myself) who are diehard Cubs fans, who are not excited about the Tucker acquisition. The feelings range from concern about his injury history to believing we gave up too much for a 1-season rental. I'm neutral, taking a wait and see posture.
