    Honestly, if he balked at the moment of truth and word got out (and it would have gotten out) it would have been political suicide. He gave the go ahead because he had no real choice. :roll:

    ....in truth my friend, them wheels had been set in motion years before including but not limited many of the intelligence gathering provisions of the Patriot Act and enhanced interrogation techniques that the lib/dems screamed bloody murder about.....

    Taking credit for the outcome of an initiative whose success was a result of a number of activities that you fought to curtail is.....jeezus, I don't even know what word to use to describe. :shock:

    I agree the wheels were in motion for a while but I'm betting Obama wasn't sitting on the can when someone else made the gutsy......leadership quality decision to go into Pakistan unannounced and take out Bin Laden......just sayin.. :wink:

    He's got a whole helluva lot bigger problems than sitting on the can.....he's actually going to have to show some leadership on the big issues he is trying like hell to duck.....given his skill set, policy team and track record, he - make that we - have a massive problem

    This is Obama's platform in 2012.

    <r>He got an 11% pop in the polls for killing Bin laden. That has since evaporated completely.<br/>
    <br/>
    <B><s></s>Unemployment at a conservative estimate of 9.1%. Many think it is more like 15%. 45% of all those folks unmemployed have been that way for at least six months. Two years ago the number of "long term" unemployed was 2.6 mil. Now it is 6.2 mil.<e></e></B><br/>
    <br/>
    The average is 40 weeks. 28% of all homes with mortgages are underwater. House values nationwwide are down an average of 33%.<br/>
    <br/>
    44.1 mil people are currently on food stamps and that includes one out of every four children.<br/>
    <br/>
    The interest on the national debt goes up $600 mil.... per day.<br/>
    <br/>
    You tell me how this no-talent goof gets re-elected. What is he going to do? Stand up in front of the nation and say "It's Bush's fault" ? ****, he'll be lucky to get out in one piece if he tries that.</r>

    So here's how it works
    ECONOMY - it all is the fault of Bush. Obama came in and the wheels were in motion and he just can't catch the "falling knife."
    BIN LADEN- It's all Obama. Nothing at all occurred during the Bush administration to set into motion the location of Bin Laden.

    I'm still predicting Barry to win, at this point Republicans don't have a candidate who has made themseleves compelling. Right now all we have is we aren't Obama. The mere fact that Sarah Pallin gets as much pub as any of our candidates out there is telling, you betcha.

    I suspect the sentiment here is not indicative of PA alone.

    I've got a better poll. 100% of the McCord house says that Obama or any other liberal has never, and will never receive a vote from us! Notice, I didn't say liberal democrat. We don't vote party lines. We vote for the beliefs of the individual candidate.

    If you want your hard earned money to go to illegal immigrants, then you vote liberal. Yes, the American dream of having a nest egg and drawing social security may be damaged forever due to congress using funds from SS and further giving it away to illegals.

    Oh boy! This will create lots of jobs! We didn't need a coal industry anyway...

    (Chicago Tribune) — Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years.

    The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation’s electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered.

    The increases are expected to begin to appear in 2014, and policymakers already are scrambling to find cheap and reliable alternative power sources. If they are unsuccessful, consumers can expect further increases as more expensive forms of generation take on a greater share of the electricity load.

    “Each generator will have to decide for itself whether the investment required to meet environmental requirements can be justified based on its projection of market prices and the cost of its capital. In any case, those costs will be passed through to consumers,” said Mark Pruitt, director of the Illinois Power Agency, which procures electricity for Illinois.

    American Electric Power, one of the country’s largest coal-burning electricity generators, said Thursday it will retire nearly a quarter of its coal-fueled generating capacity and that it will spend up to $8 billion to retrofit remaining units to meet regulations that start taking effect in 2014. Those moves will have an impact.

    In the face of economic armageddon, these idealists cling to their Ivy league liberalism like a life raft.

    Watched the debate last night from NH. My impressions:

    Romney and Pawlenty look like more of the same. Both would hang in there militarily overseas no matter how little sense it makes. Romney is personable. Pawlenty is the only one with a plan in hand....

    Herman Cain beginning to falter as he wades into deeper water. Sounded like he is not entirely against big government......

    Newt Gingrich probably had the best night. Trouble is today he'll say something stupid.....

    Ron Paul looks crazy and acts a little spacey but he is the only candidate who seems to have a firm grip on the situation and understands what needs to be done......

    Michelle Bachman is easy on the eyes. I know that sounds sexist but she stands out in that lineup. Not sure about her yet......

    Who am I forgetting?
