I think if LSU loses then they could get in if Alabama beats Auburn.... which is no guarantee.
An unbeaten SEC Champ plus a once beaten LSU or Alabama could make the CFP.

Either of them losing to Georgia could negate both getting in.

    LSU 31-30

I think it will be a higher scoring game than 31-30.

Wow, what an incredible game. Both these teams could end up in the final four.

Most enjoyable game I have seen all season.

Joe Burrow just keeps his team winning. Tua definitely was not a full strength today. Great game with some really big plays. Burrow has to be the leader for the Heisman trophy at this point.

I'd agree Don, the Heisman is his to lose.

Alabama with 1 loss definitely will be in the mix if they win out. It will be interesting to see where they committee has them ranked amongst the one loss teams. Oregon and Utah are off this week. OU plays Iowa State, a big win could move them up quite a bit and Georgia with a big win today could move up past Bama as well.

This turned out better than I thought. We had 2 ints, a fumble and a muffed punt snap and almost pulled it out. Our defense is bad but we hung in there.

    How about Baylor?

I guess I just don't feel like either of those teams will finish undefeated or even with 1 loss.

Minn has Iowa, Wisconsin and probably Ohio State...they could lose all 3 of those

Baylor has OU, Texas and maybe OU again. They could also lose all 3 of those.

Great seasons so far by those teams though.

Yeah great win by Minn, still can't see them going undefeated into the Big 10 Championship game where I can't see them beating Ohio State. It will be interesting to see what the committee does with them. Will they jump ahead of #12 Baylor, how far will Penn State drop?

Well one of Eddie O's players live streamed the LSU locker room after the game. It was pretty crazy and he picked up Eddie O saying we're going to beat their ass in recruiting, we're going to beat their ass every time we see them, Roll Tide F' you!

Not a cool move by that player

Someone should have told him that elephants never forget. Plus, it was not that long ago when LSU beat Bama during the regular season only to get curb stomped by Alabama in the national championship game.

They pay him to coach LSU in that way that plays to Louisiana, not bowing to Alabama. Coaches say a lot of things post-game. It's all in fun.

But as for the game, I thought that Najee Harris saved Alabama's bacon and made this game respectable. The defense stood up with their backs against the wall, but it was Najee who put the team on his back IMHO.

Well, we failed.to execute on offense, especially in the first half. A fumble, an interception and a missed snap on a punt play. With those mistakes, LSU took advantage and put.the game.out of reach. Our.defense gave up 560 yards of.offense. That was.the real difference. Burrow was sharp and they were able to run the ball when they needed to. Another thing I saw more.bad passes and dropped passes on the Alabama side than I have seen all season. However, their defense was as bad as is and that's what allowed us to get back into the game. I guess the silver lining to this is that, as bad as we.played, we still had a shot at winning in the fourth quarter. With a defense like we have, we are not a championship caliber team.

    Don't sell yourself short kp.

But I agree about the mistakes. That first series where Bama marched right down the field and Tua had an unforced fumble and then at the close of the first half why Bama chose to throw the ball from deep in their own territory with just over a minute left in the half baffled me.

No one has shut the LSU offense down this season and Orgeron has done an outstanding job. I never did think he was as bad a coach as some were painting him last season.

Georgia is not out of it, but I don't see them beating LSU. If they did then Georgia would be in and LSU a candidate for one of the spots.

It was a really entertaining game.

Don, Alabama is very good, just not championship good. We would probably win last night if we had any of the defenses from our last 10 years. This year is just not it. This is going to be the first year that Alabama will not be in the CFP. We still have to play Auburn. They are not LSU but they are not bad either.

Very difficult to stay on top of the football world forever Kp. Alabama and Sabin have doe a splendid job the last few years and set the bar very high.
