    Jif,

Get the crew together. We'll have a sit down. Then, a road trip. Call the boys in Vegas.... and New Orleans.8)

We may use the Providence crew for this one. :(

Thanks, Sid. To be serious for a second, I think our three moderators do a great job to try an achieve a balance between letting people freely express their opinions but clamping down on abusive posts.

This is a rare place. Normally, when you put Wolverines, Buckeyes, and Domers together and then add to that mix, the SEC boys and gals, Big 12 & Pac 10 fans, along with West Coast and East Coast folk & Gonzo, one would expect the forum to implode within a matter of weeks. Instead, this place, in its Prodigy and Skybox form, has survived for over a decade which, I think, exceeds the duration of most marriages in this country.

We've all taken sabbaticals for a variety of reasons. Jim is without question the best writer and historian on these BBs and there are some damn good minds on here so we miss his input. Plus, he's one of the few who can keep me in line. Same with Corey.

We all chafe each other on occasion. Look at the battles BDR and I have had. I get carried away; I admit it. In fact, let me say here and now... Rick, you don't have to have friends and family start your car for you anymore.. I'm sorry 8)

Seriously, we want the O'Connor boys back. Diane, I'll make them an offer they can't refuse.

When Ray agreed to start this forum some years ago, I've actually forgotten how many but not the circumstances, it was JO'Co's e-mail list that we used to pass the word to a lot of folks who are still here today.(as a side note, that's how why we have so many Notre Dame members :) )

Since that time the community has not grown in numbers, but has grown in people's feelings for the members that are here now. It takes special people to learn to respect the other guy and his opinion.

That does not mean there will not be disagreements, there will be. What we hope is that after the disagreements we can still respect the other guy, his opinions and his team.

I have always considered JO'Co and Corey core members of this group. JO'Co has a knack of telling us about his travels in an entertaining manner, of giving us all history lessons that are always interesting.

Corey has more knowledge of the inner workings of athletics at the college level recruiting etc. I'm still waiting for him to explain the possible violations in the article that was posted about Carl Moore and his recruitment to Florida.

Several of you have said you have taken time out but then returned, that's what happens in families, and in many senses we are family.

I sincerely hope that JO'Co and Corey return to us shortly so that we may continue having them share their knowledge, humor and thoughts with us.

I never seem to be able to say what I want in a few words so I apologize for the length of this post.

    Come on back guys.

It is very special for me to see what you think of my two guys they in their own rights are very good hearted people and I am very prod of them both . They are also as you know both extremely stubborn and pig headed they can drive a person crazy .... Today I was struck on the freeway thinking how I could take care of this because I know you all are very inportant to jim and corey .. then I got the picture of Jiff and George coming accross country . and the chuckles started just vision that if you will .... You all are the best .............D

Diane, you are preaching to the choir when you describe Jim and Corey as good hearted. You have every reason to be proud of them as I'm sure you are about the rest of your wonderful family. Thank you for your concern about us and for your efforts, whatever the result may be.

I echo the sentiments expressed here about Corey and Jo'Co.

I respect everyone that has an opinion and I enjoy debating with those that feel differently and sometimes it's very refreshing to hear what others have to say even though I may not agree.

I am pretty stubborn about my own opinion as others are about theirs but everyone has a right to his own and with that I never take offense.

I do take offense when some feel the need to make it personal but it comes with the territory of forum debate so it's not enough to make me jump off the board.

Hey...I debated with guys like Vol Jeff all the time and wish he was still around to offer his Orange opinion.

In any event maybe these guys are just taking a breather.
