    I remember mostly watching A&M and Texas on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

    Is that not correct?

    The XII allowed the game to be moved to Friday's for several years, but for most of the 100+ times we played it was on Thanksgiving night.

    Move of game to Friday after T-Day was media driven...in today's football world it's all about the $$$$. When I was a student and only 1 team a week was on TV, Texas always played night games in Sept due to the Texas heat. Then when TV became a factor we moved the games to noon on Saturday when the sun was the hottest on our newly established Astroturf. Nobody cared about the players playing on a surface that you could fry an egg on because it made money.
