    After the Auburn game, the Tennessee game has always been the most important game on our schedule. Like you said, this goes way back. Good luck.

    Hey kp, since the Miami fight and Lamar Thomas getting fired has been all over the news, did anybody on the Alabama boards post that play (YouTube) where the Alabama DB(George Teauge) ran Thomas down from behind behind like he was a grandma stealn' watermelons? :) Then he stole the ball!! Believe it was a Sugar Bowl wasn't it?

    Has to be one of the great plays in 'bama history.

    I like that play as well! Miami shutters to think of playing Tennessee or Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Not pleasant memories for them. :wink:

    No I haven't seen it posted lately and it was the 1992 Sugar Bowl, but it is a play that is ingrained in Alabama folklore along with the goal line stand against Penn St in 1979. I was going to mention earlier that before that Sugar Bowl, Miami players tried to bait Alabama players into a fight on Bourbon St in the week before the game. This latest thuggery is nothing new. Miami has only been on the national scene for about 25 years and they earned this dubious reputation early.

    Florida will be favored by at least 7 over almost every team they play the rest of the season and I would take a 6 point win over each except for Western Carolina.

    I know in reality you feel the same way about Bama if truth be told.

    Our offense has more to prove this year than two or three good games. Will I take one point wins in every game the rest of the year? Absolutely! I'll have a much bigger grin if we cover every week.

    We were at the annual 4 wheeler raffle (fund raiser) at the fire department all day/night. We didn't know who won until Vol Jeff called us from the stadium. We are watching the game on Tivo right now.

    Now I will say this: MCG was right and I was wrong! I am ecstatic with this 3 point win! :wink:

    You had a fundraiser on the 3rd Sat. in October?

    Time to get a new event planner at the station....or....why don't you get a huge event planned on the Friday after Thanksgiving and see how they would like to TIVO that day's rivalry games.... :wink:

    Yep!!! …and we are on the way back to supervise the clean up effort of the CSRs (Community Service Restitution). I used to say: “Speed on brother… Hell ain’t half full yet!” My new saying is: “Speed on brother, we need more CSRs!” :wink:
