Not surprisingly the Longhorn Networks shows only Texas sports! Pac12 networks are regional, I don't know what they will show on those regional networks though and how many teams will be involved. But the setup certainly implies that 1 or 2 teams will be featured on each regional network
NOTE: That is the SECOND verse of the War Hymn.... This is the FIRST verse: All hail to dear old Texas A&M Rally around Maroon and White Good luck to dear old Texas Aggies They are the boys who show the real old fight That good old Aggie Spirit thrills us And makes us yell and yell and yell So let's fight for dear old Texas A&M We're gonna beat you all to… Chigaroo-garem, Chigaroo-garem Rough, Tough, real stuff Texas A&M
It is unfortunate it has come to this. But, be that as it may, good luck wherever you end up Scott.....your Aggies would be a highly prized addition to any conference anywhere.....even perhaps including the SEC.
Welcome aboard. Last year UF won national titles in women's tennis and men's indoor track. Finished #2 in baseball.....and top 5 in men's tennis. Went to the final 8 in men's BB. Finished #4 in the all sports trophy.......and all this with a men's football team that went 8-5.......but has been above .500 for 31 straight seasons.
The P12 distributes the monies evenly amongst the member institutions. As I understand it, the LHN monies are NOT. So tell me again why I would want to buy into that tripe?
It's a regional network and it could be folded into your existing regional network strategy. I'm sure satisfactory financial settlements could be made, after all your new contract is worth much more than what we'd get from our current B12 setup. Plus getting Texas would be a huge plum for the Pac 12, we'd most likely bring OU, OK.State, and Texas Tech with us. Your conference would no longer be just a west coast conference you'd be as close to a National conference as it gets.
How about if I take A&M, OU, OSU, and Baylor? I thought you wanted to go independent?? I'd gladly let you. (btw - Baylor is so Wazzu has at least one conference win every year.
You've been hanging around Scott too much, one trip to Austin for a game weekend and you'll be hooked!
I lived in Texas for four years, remember. I've witnessed all the homeless, destitute Longhorn graduates in Austin. Well, maybe graduates is a strong word...
