Really looks like the Big 10 is going to be pretty deep with good teams this year.

Another upset this evening in the Big TEN Conference this evening. Illinois defeats Michigan by nine points in Champaign. Big TEN teams are now 10-0 on home courts! Rutgers defeated Wisconsin as well tonight.

Ohio State and Purdue both lose (badly) on the road. Big 10 gonna be a dog fight.

The bubble burst last night for the Buckeyes in Minneapolis, they created many matchup problems for us and were very ferocious in their defense. We never could seem to develop any type of rhythm the entire game. Home wins in the Big Ten Conference now stand at 12-0. (Amazing) We were outrebounded and shot poorly from the field, always a bad combination.

I think you're right Stu, might be the first time in awhile that the Big 10 gets more NCAA teams than the ACC.

The Flyers are now #10 with a bullet. They kind of remind you of the old Phi Slamma Jamma Houston team with Clyde Drexler. They really push the ball. I think they are averaging around 92 a game.

Unless we beat each other up so much we all drop. At this rate we'll all be .500 in league play.

Good News. An NU player had a triple double against Purdue

Bad news. It was the FIRST EVER by a NU player...in history...I'm not sure how to take that...

Michigan is going to get a highly rated center out of DeMatha in DC, a kid who Mike Brey offered early and recruited very hard and Brey is a DeMatha guy. Howard might turn out to be a great hire for Michigan. He's got that NBA pedigree going for him.

When he was hired I thought it was a big risk for UM. No college experience, unlike Belien who had a tremendous background of success working his way up through the ranks. But basketball is a different cat for coaches, we all remember Pat Riley literally came out of the radio booth for the Lakers and turned them into the iconic Showtime bunch.

Looks like a new #1 again this week. Probably not a good idea to be ranked #1 this season!:p

Don was right, Gonzaga became the 6th different team to be #1 this year so far...doubt if they are the last. Pretty amazing what Mark Few has done out there in Spokane with Gonzaga. Even if they have never won the Nat'l Championship, they are program that always seems to be in the mix. I'm a little surprised that a major program hasn't made him an offer he can't refuse.

Bad weekend for OSU sports. We laid an egg in Sundays matchup with West Virginia in Cleveland. We looked pretty bad with the Christmas break and had 22 turnovers! Final score was 67-59.
