Not a lot of changes this week, Kyler Murray moved ahead of Tua. Still don't think Ed Oliver will win the Heisman. Some think that the Bosa kid at Ohio State is better than him anyway.
Forbes has it's annual value of your football program article. A&M has dethroned the Longhorns. https://www.forbes.com/sites/chrissmith/2018/09/11/college-footballs-most-valuable-teams/#4aad1076c647
More cancellations of games of course. Only UVA/Ohio decided to move their game to Nashville and play in Vandy's stadium. Admission will be free.
At least we will not have to worry about the weather since we will be playing at the AT&T indoor facility in Arlington Texas. I am anxious to see How Haskins performs against a good defensive team. Should be a pretty good game in my opinion.
I really can't see TCU threatening the Buckeyes. They have an excellent coach and he's good at team building, but he just doesn't have the roster/depth to seriously challenge Ohio State. But stranger things happen, sort of like that Iowa game.
Interesting eye popping whatever! Everybody looks at the stats, but doesn't notice that he's only faced 10 3rd downs in his first 2 games...10 3rd downs...10. Bruce Feldman ✔ @BruceFeldmanCFB This is pretty decent... Tua Tagovailoa on 3rd downs this season: 10-for-10, 207 yards, 4 TDs.. His QB rating is 405.88. 9:54 AM - Sep 9, 2018 1,618 680 people are talking about this
Wake looked like a scrappy young team. BC has absolutely no one on their schedule until they get to the heart of conference play. They may wind up in a good bowl game this year.
Good test for the Buckeyes this evening. Both squads pretty evenly matched. The difference for TCU was three turnovers, two of which allowed Ohio State to score 12 points!
TCU was just too undersized to keep up with the physical nature of OSU. They were quick, but they were small.
Bad day for the B1G. How good is Cal? USC's QB graduated early so he could enroll in college early when he should really be a HS senior. He looks like it. USC looks terrible. They won't be next year or down the road, but right now, that's not USC football. Texas is an average team. The only thing Alabama lacks is a kicker and the kid who decommitted from Alabama to go to Arizona State looks sorely needed. It seems that every conference has some contenders, some bowl teams, and some bozos. Our local Alabama kids continue to show they can surprise at this level. Whether it's at App State or Troy, the local boys do well for themselves.
Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson (maybe). It's early but these are the ones fast out of the gate.
Scott, How about that punt return? KP, As good as Alabama has looked, I'd posit that they've played absolutely no one of quality. My biggest concern for the Tide is gonna be when someone hits them back in the mouth, and keeps hitting. Ole Miss is god awful. Arkansas State is what it is. Louisville still looks terrible. I guess we'll know more after A&M. It's at TTown so that's gotta be worth 14 points to the Tide.
You are being charitable, Corey. BT teams lost to Akron, Temple, Kansas, Troy and 24.5 pt underdog BYU. That is a horrible, no good, lowdown, shitty week. Also lost to Missouri and S. Fla but both were favorites. Re the PAC 10, the flip side of your Cal question is how bad are UCLA and USC. Agree with KP's top 4 with Ala and Georgia being the clear 1 and 2 choices. Congrats to Don and Stu on the Bucks going down to Texas and taking care of matters.
Corey, you could be right. Like I said it is early. I guess we'll see. So who do you think is fast out of the gate?
