What a finish. What a story. Hurts orchestrates the comeback. Roll Tide!

Congrats kp, and since Tua was on the sideline at end I assume that is a good sign that with a month to get healthy he will be 100 % for the playoffs.

Next up can the Buckeyes do enough to jump OU? As well as UGA played its hard to see a 2 loss non champion ahead of two 1 loss Conference champions.

I have seen Smart do a few questionable things this season. Why try a fake punt. He had the lead and Alabama was not really effective on offense.

Hurts came in and had two drives for TDs to take the lead. After hanging in there all season, he delivers in the big game. What a story!

Ohio State dominating Northwestern. 24-7 at half. Should be able to get that big win / style points that could get them past OU.

Haven't watched the Clemson game at all, but they seem to have a comfortable lead over Pitt 28-10 at half.

Coach Meyer being fairly conservative late in the first half. we are eating up the clock and Haskins has a solid game so far. It does not look like we are going for any style points.

Kyle, nice win for the Tide. Thank goodness you still had Hurts as a backup. A very solid game for him and very deserving as well. He stayed the course, and no complaining, etc. I have a great deal of respect for him.

I didn't watch UCF and Memphis, but that must have been a great game. UCF had a tremendous comeback to win a big shootout. The backup Qb for UCF had a great game. 25 game winning Streak now.

Peaking in on the Boise v Fresno game it looks like Wazzu v Washington game weather. Low scoring as well.

Cats have used up their nine lives just yet. Open up the 2nd half with 2 TDs cutting the Buckeyes lead to 3

Well....Haskins has just taken the ninth life from the Cats.

I suspect the Buckeyes will end up in Pasadena although I imagine an Urban v Saban match up would pull up higher ratings than Oklahoma/Alabama match up.

Northwestern tossed the kitchen sink at them. They have no fear...

Northwestern certainly gave us a run for the money early in the second half. I tire of us trying to run the ball in the middle of the line. Haskins saved our skin in this one. Nice to win the Big Ten Championship, but we will be looking outside in for the playoffs. The Purdue fiasco is just too much to think about now.

For those that didn't see it, Herbie lost his ever loving mind over the notion that Georgia is not going to get into the playoffs. I mean, he threw an absolute tantrum. What's funny to me is, if you do what he says and you remove conference affiliation (he says it's because fans don't want 2 SEC teams) and you remove the various labels, you can't deny Georgia. What I find funny is that if you do the same process he's asking for, you have a team that hasn't lost in 2 years who won't be considered for the playoffs at all... but he somehow overlooks that.

Well, I guess this will be settled tonight but not one of UCF's opponents this season is ranked in the top 25 of the CFP poll or any of the major polls I could find. All of the other contenders played at least 2 top 25 teams. Oklahama lost to a top 25 team and then beat them in the conference championship game. Ohio State had the big win over Michigan but they also lost the debacle to Purdue. Georgia lost to two top 10 teams but also beat one top ten team. What UCF has done is impressive but their regular season schedule just doesn't match up to any of the other contenders. Does it? I don't think a 2 loss team will make it in the final four but I think Georgia is probably one of the four best teams in the country. I know I don't want to play them again. 8)

Well one thing is clear, that we have 6 really good teams that had excellent seasons and are either 1 loss or undefeated.

Even though it's not the way things are set up I see Georgia/Alabama as a quarterfinal game and the Dawgs lost so they are out. Like in the NFL where you have sometimes had the 2 best teams playing Conf Champ game and one of them loses and doesn't get to go to the Super Bowl even though they both could claim to be better than the Conf Champ who is the other half of the Super Bowl paring.

I don't give UCF any credit for being undefeated anymore than I would have given any Group of 5 undefeated team who went undefeated. UCF has a great streak going but they just don't play the same schedule as a Power 5 team.

The real battle will be will Ohio State or Oklahoma get the 4th slot.

This will amp up the call for an 8 team playoff, really truth be told we should scrap the current bowl system and go to a 16 team playoff that replaces the bowls and starts Mid December after finals are over.
