We just got the full compliment of Pac12 channels out here on Charter/Spectrum. They are in a weird location, not really near the sports channels but at least I finally have them.
Dwayne Haskins wins 2018 Chicago Tribune Silver Football award! Big Ten Conference coaches voted him the best player in the conference. He is the 18th player for Ohio State to win the award.
That FG to tie by the Utes would have gone 60+ in SLC! In San Jose just went far enough to make it over the crossbar.
Really impressed with Utah's defense. With the Utes starting QB out, their offense was hapless and it seemed that their defense was on the field most of the game. But, they put a pounding on Browning and Washington's running backs all night. It was pretty clear Browning's play was impacted by Utah's physical play. Willingham has done a great job making Utah, a school that has significant recruiting disadvantages, a force in the P12.
Texas using 3 man rush against Murray is a losing proposition. The last 2 Oklahoma drives of the first half, Murray had no pressure whatsoever.
Unreal how Murray's offensive line gives him so much time to throw. In addition, his receivers always seem to get open to receive a pass at the last moment. No wonder he looks great, but he is extremely accurate in his throws.
Well, both teams are.showing some defense. Texas figured out they had to pressure the qb or the game was.over.
This.is much more than the OU/WVU game. That game was like 7 on 7. There.have been stops today. At least they started putting some pressure on the qb.
Quite a bit of discrepancy in the penalties, I hope the fix wasn't in with the refs to protect OU and the B12 chances for a CFP team.
I don't get Smart subbing Fields for Fromm for a play here and there when Jake is having a very good game so far. 7-7 early 2nd qtr
They answered with a great drive to get it to 21-14, and were in position to get the ball back in good field position and enough time to put up another score, but inexplicably went for a block and ran into the kicker and gave UGA the opportunity to run out the clock. Tide does get the ball to start the 2nd half, and I fully expect them to tie up the game.
Terry, I watched the OU /UT game and to an outside observer it appeared that the refs caught every Texas infraction and missed a few of the Oklahoma fouls. I guess it goes that way sometimes. :?
