The Irish have lost several players to injury for this game and several players to suspension. LSU has also lost some players I forget if they are injured or suspended.

Texas just lost 3 players to suspension and 1 to injury to go with the 3 players who have opted not to play inorder to prepare for the NFL.

Well we have players just like they do, and maybe better. LSU will be ready for this game, I assure you of that. Hopefully Kelly is doing the same, because the LSU fans and players will be wanting some revenge. They were awfully sure of themselves in the Music City Bowl a few years ago and were shocked at how good ND was that day. I don't look for them to be surprised this year. We may well win, but it won't be because they were looking past us.

Corey did you have Army in the Armed Forces Bowl?

    Neither did I!

ARMY 46 minutes of possession SDSU 14! What a great win for the Cadets.

I don't believe I did. I wanted to take them but I just didn't think they could stop SDSU's TB. It turns out that both of my hunches were true. They never stopped him, but then again, SDSU didn't stop them either and they got the ball last. :)

Well, after clawing my way back to a sort of respectable 6-5 I went 0-3 yesterday. Back to normal.

I had Army, which enabled me to avoid a shutout.

I do not know what Fitz is drinking, but I would like to have some of it myself. He is putting most of us to shame!

Don, I'm in a 7 member family Bowl Pick'em contest. My 16 yr. old granddaughter is doing the same thing to the adults. :D

    Wanna hear something incredible?

Army just had a 10 win season with a bowl victory, and they completed 20 passes all year.

I was shocked at all the stats in that game, Army just dominated them, you would have thought they had never seen a service academy option attack, but don't they play USAFA every year? Good for Army, they have been down a long time.

yeah Air Force gave them some trouble with a big 4th quarter comeback this year, but the Aztecs still won.

That's really the thing about the triple option, if you execute it offensively, it's nearly impossible to stop.

Looks I picked another winner in the contest. West Virginia is down 17-3 at the halfway mark. I doubt the West Virginia QB will last the second half!

If I had known that WV's star QB was not playing, I would have picked Utah. Oh well. :?

Sid, I read several articles that the Mountaineers would still win without Grier!
Must have been fake news!

<t>Well it appears Elko will indeed be back at ND next season. There seem to be some offers coming his way from other programs but Kelly says he’s staying.</t>

Dreary, rainy day here in Houston, glad the Longhorns are playing indoors at NRG. A bunch of guys I know have been planing a big tailgate since the Longhorns were slotted here vs Missouri, it's going to be a cold wet tailgate! I've done several of those at ND, last one being the 2012 Stanford game. I think that was the wettest, coldest, most miserable I've been at a tailgate. I kept asking myself, what am I doing here!

Looks like when Josh Heupel took his new job and left Mizzou, they let Noel Mazzone call the plays.
Gads... so much side to side stuff.
And don't forget the 1st down runs up the gut into the run-set defense.

Thank God I'll only have to see that one more time from the Aggies...

This one might have been interesting if Missouri could have held onto the ball. :x

Drew Lock was neutered by that Texas defense, the dime alignment he was not prepared for and remember this Texas defense was missing it's 2 best players and the team itself was missing 9 overall who either were injured or declined to play to get ready for the NFL.

    Texas offense still needs work

Texas Punter!! Have you ever seen a better performance/ W0W!

    Great win for the Longhorns!

Well Lock threw for over 250 yds but 4 turnovers to O turnovers is hard to overcome. Good job by the Texas D.
