Just another thing that will tear this country apart. I just hope he doesn't get the nomination and that in losing it's not even close so he can't contend that the nomination was illegally stolen from him.

Then I want him to just go away.

Can't help but wonder how many Republican Senators are kicking themselves now in hindsight for not putting him away when he gifted them the opportunity on Jan 6

Speaking of the irrational Trump Haters, I've managed to track down an early team picture

Game on starts when the GOP decides to release their 2 1/2 year plan. I'm trying really really hard to understand what President Trump did wrong except for caring about the continued strength, growth, and protection of a nation that he cares greatly about. Oh, and getting rid of the treasonous pocket liners that want us deplorables to eat cake.

Funny isn't it that his SCOTUS nominees all agreed with their creation and defend it. Meanwhile the choice of the irrational are constantly attacking it. If it isn't the second amendment, it's the electoral college. If it's not diluting the votes of citizens it's usurping the role of the legislature by the executive branch or administrative agencies. If it's not unconstitutionally changing state voting rules its suppression of the first amendment on social media.

    Next up Colorado.

It seems clear that this issue will be widely contested across the country and eventually end up with SCOTUS. Interesting that included in the most recent challenge in Colorado is prominent state Republicans including former Republican Senate Majority Leader Norma Anderson

    Now Minnesota....

I think the thing that is most surprising to me thus far is that all of the actions that I have seen have been bipartisan in nature. I would have expected the lefties to pile on in force but we've seen many prominent Republican/conservative judges, legal scholars and politicians lend their name to these actions as well. That tells me there is still some hope for the soul of the party to turn away from the cult of Trumpian populism and standing up for core principles that have been the bedrock of the party for generations.

"Eight Minnesota voters — Paul Anderson, a former GOP-appointed state Supreme Court justice; Joan Growe, a former Democratic Secretary of State; and David Thul, an Iraq War veteran who ran his county GOP chapter; among others — are named as petitioners in the lawsuit that challenges Trump's name being on the 2024 primary and general election ballots in Minnesota."

I just hope he's not the nominee so that this all becomes a moot point. I can't imagine the situation if he's the nominee and isn't allowed on multiple state ballots.

I hope he's not the nominee either. I think these states are trying to ensure that.

Do we have an amendment that keeps a physically infirm, mentally incompetent octogenarian off the ballot?

We have the 25th amendment to remove a President, but that has nothing to do with the ballot. But then I know you already know that.

Why shouldn't he be the nominee? He's the only one I've heard/seen that has America at heart. Give me a name, give me an agenda that makes sense to the basis of how this country VOTED to make/ retain itself.

I pulled this off another board.

The power players in the party don't want him to step down before the term runs out. They don't want an "incumbent" President Harris. So Biden needs to Weekend at Bernie's it to the finish line. Easier to take out a VP Harris than a fill in President Harris.

No one could make a cogent argument for Kamala Harris as President. She is inadequate in every way. I believe she was hand-picked by the real powers in the Democratic Party because she checked off all the boxes; Black, Female and no threat by comparison to the candidate of choice, Joe Biden. But at what point does a Biden presidency become a clear and present danger? I believe it already represents our #1 national security threat. He has gutted our economy, our military, our energy infrastructure and has reduced our stature on the world stage.
