I agree. Golf has always been different from other sports. The Ryder Cup has been boisterous but not insulting and abusive.

Another back surgery for Tiger Woods. That was something like his 7th or 8th back surgery. I just wonder if he can ever play again. He's turning 50 and while I never really thought he'd play on the Champions Tour, but now it's will he ever play competitively again.

Tiger Woods went through a seventh back surgery Friday, this time to replace a disk in his lower back that had caused pain and mobility issues.

Woods said in a social media post Saturday that he had the surgery in New York and added it was the right decision for his health and his troubled back.

He did not mention how long it would keep him out of golf, though it was unclear if he was trying to play in his Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas or the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. Both tournaments are in December.

He hasn't played since a playoff loss in the PNC Championship last year.

I wonder if his swing is the reason for his back problems. He always swung so hard.

Probably related to the way he drove. I'm just not sure it was the ball or the car.

Yeah, I don’t get it either. One of the reasons I like golf is being outside.

Jack wins in Court and is 50M richer, not that he needs it but they said what they said and he wasn't taking it. Good for him.

A Florida jury on Monday awarded Jack Nicklaus $50 million in his defamation lawsuit against Nicklaus Companies, which is owned by billionaire banker Howard Milstein.

Nicklaus, 85, filed the lawsuit in response to statements that Milstein and other Nicklaus Companies officials made in a previous lawsuit in a New York court.

In the defamation lawsuit, Nicklaus claimed the defendants suggested that he had considered a $750 million deal to become the face of the Saudi Arabian-financed LIV Golf League and disseminated those false claims to media outlets.
