Re Faust: I doubt if any coach let go by his university continued to love that university more than Faust which speaks volumes about the quality of both the university and him.

I like the fact that James is a good receiver also. Not a player with a lot of stars but has some great stats. RB coach likes him so he must have things they like. McCullough seems to be a good judge of RB talent.

This is Tom Loy on flipping James from BC.

Lastly, we all saw Notre Dame flipped former Boston College running back commit Nolan James Jr. For the Irish, this was among the weekend's top prioritites. They watched a ton of running back tape and they genuinely believe they landing a Top247 running back in James. The Irish, led by running backs coach Deland McCullough, absolutely love him and believe he's one of the more complete backs in the country. They could have made a run at other higher-rated guys or players with "more impressive" offer lists, but James was the guy they loved, wanted, and eventually targeted as a top priority. The more I watch James' tape, the more I tend to agree with Notre Dame's evaluation here. I would have him on the backend of the Top247, but we'll see how it shakes out.

I do not believe Moller is as strong as they used to be, but still a force in the Cincinnati HS scene. Just checked Moeller's standing and they are #1 currently.

Jerry was a good man. If only his coaching acumen matched his enthusiasm and love for the school he would have been successful. Perhaps it was the school's fault thinking he could jumb from HS to major college.

Early signing day for all sports except football. Irish men's basketball got their best class in years, hopefully they all work out. The Irish women only signed one player, Leah Macy a highly rated wing from Kentucky. Not sure about the other sports.

I’ll see if I can find it. I hate the paywall thing.

Irish women got a solid win last night vs James Madison. Freshman post, Kate Koval, had an excellent game. Unfortunately Grad Transfer, Liatu King, who has been terrific so far left the game in the 2nd half after going down hard and hitting her head on the floor. No word, but I imagine she'll be in concussion protocol for a week or so, she will be missed.

Irish women's soccer got their 1st round win over Milwaukee last night. 5-1 which is a rout in soccer. Next up is the round of 32 match with Kentucky.

Irish men's basketball weint to DC and had a great game with Georgetown and won 84-63. Nice start to the season for the Irish, but we've also not played any team that is very good. We've got a Las Vegas trip with 2 games vs ranked teams in Rutgers and Houston. That'll tell us a lot more.

Irish up 28-0 at the half, but it's been a wild game. Defense has got a couple of picks, a fumble recovery and we've had 2 70+ yard TD's called back. One of them a wild fake punt that was called back for an obscure rule about the #'s on the Jersey's. That one really lit a fire under the coach and the team.

Interesting. We had a TD called back earlier in the season on the same call.

Irish win 35-14 I have to put this in a win is a win category. Sort of unsatisfying how we were so uneven on offense. So many penalties to overcome on offense and 1-12 on 3rd down
