If we would only tax the "rich" more everything would be better.

I was watching Squawk Box earlier in the week...

    http://www.cnbc.com/id/15838368

...and Joe Kernan made a point about taxes and who pays them. According to Kernan, the top 20% pays 94% of all the taxes collected by the federal government. The next 20% pays almost nothing and the bottom 60% actually receives money from the feds......paying less than nothing.

If Kernan is even remotely correct, then guess who gets hammered by Obamacare, Dave.

Always made too much to get the medical deductions after the 7.5% expenditure of income so no loss of deduction there.

Not lucky enough to have a Cadillac healthcare plan and my wife's jobs since moving to Florida have been too unstable to go full bore with a cafe plan so where does it get me?

FYI...the link did not provide the article to read so what am I missing?

My tax bracket under Bush was always the one where you get absolutely slaughtered:
    No stimulus money
    No child tax credits
No credits of any kind for that matter
limited deductibles based on higher earnings
and last but definitely not least.........that dad blasted AMT!!

Actually, they've been too busy going over Romney's past returns to bother with such trivial things as tens of millions defrauded from them.

My link didn't contain an article, because I wasn't quoting an article. It's a TV show that's on every morning on CNBC, that leads up to the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange. Kernan said this on the air. It was a brief statement and I quoted him, because I had heard this stat from several other sources before...

    re: Obamacare

Remember, there are 21 new taxes in this law and they all go into effect on January 1. It's not just what you pay for medical care; it's all those new taxes on top of what you will be forced to pay for Obamacare...
