Team has 68-17 record in past seven seasons, including 11-4 in state playoffs. Findlay: QB Chris Schneider threw for 2,200 yards and ran for 458 with 28 combined TDs in '05. Findlay was 10-2 last season, lost to Massillon in second round of the playoffs. 8:30 p.m. — Cardinal O'Hara H.S./Springfield, Pa. vs. Colerain H.S./Cincinnati O'Hara: Coach Dan Algeo is 20-4 in two seasons, and the school has qualified for Philadelphia Catholic League playoffs each of past 13 seasons. Colerain: Coach Kerry Coombs is 145-34 in 15 seasons. Defeated Tyler (Texas) Lee in last year's inaugural event. SATURDAY'S GAMES AT NIPPERT STADIUM, UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI 11:30 a.m. — Byrnes H.S./Duncan, S.C. vs. Moeller H.S./Cincinnati Byrnes: Four-time defending state champion. QB Willy Korn, committed to Clemson, is the reigning South Carolina Player of the Year after passing for state-record 4,164 yards and 53 TDs in '05. Moeller: Twenty-four playoff appearances are the most of any Ohio school. Coach Bob Crable was an All-American linebacker at Notre Dame and played seven seasons for the New York Jets. 2 p.m. — Lakeland H.S./Lakeland, Fla. vs. St. Xavier H.S./Cincinnati Lakeland: Last season's national champ, according to USA Today, with a 30-game win streak. RB Chris Rainey, a University of Florida recruit, had more than 1,500 yards and 20 TDs last year. St. Xavier: Defending Ohio Division I state champion. Coach Steve Specht is 26-1 in the past two seasons. 6 p.m. — Don Bosco Preparatory/Ramsey, N.J. vs. Centerville H.S. Don Bosco: Coach Greg Toal was 2003 National Coach of the Year. QB Matt Simms, son of former NFL great Phil Simms, threw for more than 2,800 yards and 30 TDs in '05. Centerville: 260-75 in past 35 years; Ron Ullery, part of the coaching staff for 30 seasons, is 47-20 in six-plus years as head coach. 8:30 p.m. — De La Salle H.S./Concord, Calif. vs. Elder H.S./Cincinnati De La Salle: Won 151 straight games from 1992-2003, longest streak in football history. Coach Bob Ladouceur is 306-19-3 in 27 seasons. Elder: Won consecutive Division I state titles in 2002 and '03. 94-27 record in past 10 seasons and 512-261-30 since 1923. SATURDAY'S GAMES AT PAUL BROWN TIGER STADIUM, MASSILLON 2 p.m. — St. Joseph's Preparatory/Philadelphia vs. Davidson H.S./Hilliard St. Joseph's: Known as "The Prep," has been to the Philadelphia Catholic League championship game seven times and is 115-22 record in past 10 seasons. Davidson: Coach Brian White was named Ohio Division I Coach of the Year in '05. Regional champions last season before a state semifinal loss to St. Xavier. 5 p.m. — Springdale H.S./Springdale, Ark. vs. St. Edward H.S./Lakewood Springdale: Defending state champion, with 22 playoff appearances in 26-year program history. Kevin Johnson is in his first season as head coach, but was an assistant in five state championship games at the school. St. Edward: DB Nate Oliver, a three-year starter, has committed to Ohio State. RB Frank Edmonds rushed for more than 2,000 yards last season. 8 p.m. — Hamilton H.S./Chandler, Ariz. vs. Washington H.S./Massillon Hamilton: Started program in 1998, with a 91-11 record since. Appeared in four of the past five state championship games, winning in 2003 and '04. Massillon: Has nine "national" championships, most in the country. Lost in last season's Division I state championship game.
