Why so serious?

    OK so we have a lot of negative chi going on lately.... Here's something that could be fun and enriching.

    Name a movie (preferably one that didn't suck) in which the book is better than the movie... Perhaps this might encourage a few to watch some new flicks and read some books they might not have considered.

    I will start.

    I Am Legend. The movie has Will Smith.. Not bad.. the novel by Richard Matheson is FAR superior to any of the 3 movies made about it and the book makes my list of top books.

    Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolf was a great book. The movie wasn't even close.

    That was the pan by the critics at the time.

    But I thought the movie was better than the critics allowed.

    My Dad used to have a shirt back in the '70's that read, "I choked Linda Lovelace". Mom was not ammused if I remember right.

    The Ammityville Horror book was awesome. The movie was very week and drawn out.
