    What a voice in college football for so many seasons.

    As I recall even after he stopped doing the weekly games he'd still do the ND at USC games. I always got the impression he was a closet Trojan fan. Always did a great job.

    He was always an integral part of the fabric that is the backdrop of college football in my life. He will be greatly missed. Hell, I missed him before his passing.
