Should be a great game in Happy Valley on Sat. night. Nice way to finish yet another marathon day of college football watching for me. What else do I have to do? The leg is now in a straight leg brace for three weeks and then weekly I get more angle of flex for 3 or 4 more weeks. Having lotsa fun......
The Irish are not playing this weekend (come to think of it, they haven't played at all this year.) I hear that NBC is going to run 4 straight hours of commercials. ND fans probably won't even notice the difference. After it's over they'll just ask "how much did we lose by?"
I wonder if they are calling it a White Out. The Phoenix Coyotes have a trade mark on that phrase "White Out" and were upset with Penn State after the White Out a couple of years ago when Ohio State came to town. They notified Penn State ahead of time but agreed to allow a 1 time only use since PSU had already printed up T-Shirts and stuff. Then when they did the same thing for the Notre Dame game they got mad because they thought PSU welched on the deal they had. So I wonder what this White Out will be bring, legally?
MCG, I meant to post this in my last reply. Glad to hear your leg is coming along. I can not imagine what I would feel like in your current circumstances. Hang in there, better times are ahead. Don
Lol...that's the same outfit I tried to get my staff to wear this year, I was pelted with empty diet coke cans!!
I have to be glad she is not my home nurse because that would completely annihilate any motivation to get back on my feet.
Glad to hear you are coming along fine MCG. Before you know it you will be attending football games again.
You gotta revamp your hiring practices Terry. I see a possible goldmine in the making for you with a sharper eye utilized during the interview process.... No football games for me Bill until the brace comes off.....and that may be mid-Dec.
Just read about Brandon Beal's verbal committment to UF and was thinking this was the sort of guy who, at one time, would have gone to PSU ..... top LBer from Jersey/PA. Interesting that if verbals from Beal and Will Hill hold, UF could have 4 guys from NJ on the roster in 2008 - Beal, Hill, Tratou, and Trautwein. All should be contributors,
Huh, ironically I just read an article earlier this week where Rutgers is using the same rally cry-only this time it's for WVU's QB, Pat White.
Pat White has definitely been vulnerable to the injury. He was out of several games last year and same this year. When he's healthy I think he's the most exciting player in football, but he's no Vince Young when it comes to physical stature so I can see opposing teams would really want to put some good licks on him....if they can.
What you guys may not know is that the other half of WVU's dynamic duo, Steve Slaton was tentativley offered a scholarship by Maryland. Slaton was excited and ready to go. Then Maryland withdrew their offer at the last minute because they got somebody they thought was better. Last year when WVU played Maryland Slaton tore them up with about 230 yards.
