One month after their QB and another are booted for FLAGRANTLY breaking NCAA rules, the president of the "university" is crying for justice??? OU WHINES Give me a break!
Here's what they'll get out of the PAC10 officals... Nuttin!! They have long memories of supposed injustices to CAL and Orgeon in favor of Oklahoma and Texas in terms of Bowl selection. They might get the finger though!
After the onsides kick they didn't prevent the TD pass. After their KO runback, they couldn't get off a relatively short game winning FG. For that alone they deserved to lose.
Shocker...the PAC10 aknowledged that their officals blew the last couple of plays and suspended them, but for only one game. Also I didn't know this, I assumed that B12 officals were on the field since OU was the vistior. But PAC10 rules require PAC10 officals at all non-conference home games. The PAC10 said that this rule will not be changed. Terry
Jesus, I bet the replay official will never have to pay for any Nike equipment for the rest of his life. Incredible. Not only does the video show that the ball hit an oregon player before it traveled 10 yards; it also shows that the Okies recovered the ball. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIn1mNmgDjc&NR
I wonder what would have happened to him if the situation was reversed and a call like that allowed OU to win? Vacations at Alcatraz?
Terry, How in the f**k the replay official missed all this is beyond comprehension. He have access to all of the TV angles and the ability to slow down the tape. I don't blame the Sooner fans for being irate over this.
Can't blame 'em..... http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/5982444 This year will be the first game between UF and FSU using ACC refs since the infamous game of 2003 when the ACC refs ripped a victory away from UF. The game is in Tallahassee and the way FSU is going right now Booby will be desperate to win this game and I fully expect him to handpick the refs like the ACC allowed him to do for the Florida game in '03. In the friendly confines of Booby's own stadium it could get ridiculous....possibly even more ridiculous than in 2003.
It is said that he so liked the crew that he had in the 37-0 win over ND that year that he requested the ACC to provide that crew for the Florida game. At that time the visiting team in the series brought their own refs. It was changed following the '03 debacle and for two years in a row the series has used SEC refs but not this year.
Look... <t>At it this way and I'm not an OU fan but respect what Stoops has done there. If its your team you love and support and you get the shaft like this your blood pressure is through the roof. That was beyond belief considering those ingrates had replay.<br/> <br/> I'm done talking about it and hope we don't see it again.</t>
