When ANYTHING OR NOTHING happens at Ohio State....YOU RIOT !

Seems like the decorum police at OSU need to review their studen behaviour.....a bunch of hooliganism and vandalism seems the act-de-rigueur for the drunken Buckeyes......why am I not surprised?

Former Ohio State president criticizes fans in job interview, softens stance

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A former Ohio State University president who cracked down on game-day behavior during her tenure at the school lambasted Buckeyes fans in a recent job interview, saying they looked for any excuse to riot.

She told officials there that she confronted a culture of rioting when she arrived at Ohio State in 2002 and that she witnessed people doing "disgusting things, unbelievable things" on a videotape she ordered made after the Ohio State-Michigan game that year.

"They think it's fun to flip cars, to really have absolute drunken orgies. ... I don't want to be at a place that has this kind of culture as a norm," she said.

After her comments, released by the university, got back to Ohio and the 52,000-student university, she softened her tone.

"Maybe it was a little melodramatic," Holbrook said Wednesday. She said she never meant to imply that every Ohio State football game touches off violence.

Holbrook oversaw a crackdown on tailgating and game-day behavior after 2002 riots made national news. She retired in June with a $250,000 exit bonus, then applied for the Florida Gulf Coast job this month. Holbrook later withdrew from consideration for the Florida job

gipper don't forget the (NCAA) record number of personal fouls that Miami racked up in the Cotton Bowl game vs Texas in the early 90's. I have read many times about fan abuse of visiting teams and their fans when they go to the Orange Bowl.

Pretty funny !!! OSU's own President stating the facts.....LOL

 

Recalling the lack of any punishment doled out to Miami players after their disgusting display in the Fla. Int. game, it's refreshing to see a college president at least concerned about violence.
