I see that Illinois is going to likely have the best class in the B10 unless something changes. Ohio State right now has a small class and is ranked down around 17. Michigan is not in it's usual top 5 spot for recruiting either. I find it sort of odd, esp with regard to Ohio State, seems like they have lost out on some big names that usally don't leave the state. I would think things couldn't be better for kids in Ohio to go to OSU right now, Tressel has been on a great 4 year run, and has proven that he can coach with the best of them. Proably right now one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in college based on the on the field results. Is it that UM and OSU don't have the scholarships to give out this year? Terry
I don't pay too much attention to it until I get to see 'em play....conventional wisdom is that Coach T is being very selective, perhaps even banking some for what is generally considered to be a bumper crop of in-state kids next year. So far, from what I understand, high quality, low numbers. I would bet that he's getting what he needs....I think we'll be competitive.
I was wondering if it was either that (banking them for next year) or that they just didn't have many to give out. Now what's the Michigan excuse?
Right now we probably will rest at 16 or 17 recruits. The rest will be banked for next year's class, which is very bountiful. We lost a few good ones, but there are always sleepers. I am not unduly concerned. Don
