 The Air Force coach has his offense in high gear at the end of the game and Tenn hasn't scored in awhile and yet when given the chance to kick the EP and tie the game he goes for a very risky two points....hmmm.... Steve Spurrier has his Qb try for a yard and half sneak on 4th and one when his Rbs couldn't dent Ga in three tries previously....hmmm.....
I disagree <t>here's another viewpoint:<br/> <br/> You have the game in your own hands, and as you said UT isn't moving the ball. You have a chance to take the lead and win the game right now. You control your own destiny. One play to win it and you're holding the reigns.<br/> <br/> Its not a bad call. Also, don't forget that no one knows Air Force's players better than their HC. He knows UT had the better players. If you draw it out over 10 or 20 plays, then the talent will/should rise to the top. If you make it all about 1 play, anything can happen.</t>
And remember, Air Force had been making 5 yards a pop all night long. UT just defended it well. It was the right call at the time.
I for one am happy our armed forces don't play for ties. And the next time you hear someone ridicule the football played by those guys, ask the Vol fans how dogged they are.
