I don't believe so George. The assistant wasn't going to replace him as much as hold the fort until he came back, which for some time has been expected by the fall. So now it's earlier and from what I know about the assistant he's glad Meyer is doing well.
I am a bit surprised. I thought he was going to be somewhat inactive until summer. But I'm very happy he's coming along so well. I saw him on tv at the Basketball game the other night and he looked pretty good. What I also think is that Meyer is learning to delegate more. Regardless, Gators are happy.
Hopefully he has addressed the causes of his health problems. I'm sure his wife is not looking forward to finding him on the floor unable to breath again. :?
Kp, one thing you can be sure of the the Meyer family. Their decisions are family decisions. Shelly his wife had a lot to do with the Meyer family being in Gainesville instead of elsewhere. She is very involved with the football team and the University, and she was in favor of the leave of absence all along instead of Meyer quitting coaching. It's one of the big reasons the Gator Nation thinks so highly of her.
Thanks Don, that of course should have read, that's the reason the Gator Nation thinks so highly of her. I corrected my post. Thanks.
