    I was 16 years old.

    I remember hearing it sometime in the 50's. Griffin was a hot comedian which lead to movie rolls then tv series and he quit doing the stand up comedy rolls. There are others he did that are funny also.

    I remember some other really great comedians from that era, Moms Mabley and Brother Dave Gardner to name a couple.

    I think so Terry.

    I read about her on Wikipidia and she played an old woman even before she was really old. So appearing old was part of her sthick, she just left out her false teeth I guess.
