I had the opportunity to visit Burley Idaho and the San Joaquin valley in California this week at the invitation of a fantastic nutritional company. They spared no expense, first stop was Burley Idaho, location of the corporate offices and the area that Evil Knievel jumped in his rocket across the snake River... Next stop was the San Joaquin Valley and it's incredible assortment of farming diversity. Citrus, plums, walnuts, pistachios, almonds, both red and white table grapes, raisins and a few other items. Cannot express how impressed I was visiting each grower and what California has to offer to America... Oh yeah to top it off we flew a charter Gulfstream 4 every where we went and visited Sequoia National Park. Hope you enjoy the beauty as much as I did....
Thank you everyone, great trip.... Great question Terry, I will answer that with not at this time...This company sells plant nutrition world wide and has recently moved into the Florida market. I buy their product as a grower and as a consultant for others have sway on what they use. My plan was to go full time into consulting this summer and part time as a grower plus represent this company. My son changed all this by not graduating this summer and since he needs injections every two weeks for his arthritis I had to maintain my job as the manager of the Ag investment to keep the insurance...I've always had a dream to consult for other growers and unfortunately that has been postponed. Who knows it may have been meant to be. I'm not much of a salesman but don't mind recommending what works for me....
Terry I did see these raisins Laid out to dry in the Califorinia Sun. This would never work in Florida as Coons, birds, rats and bugs would consider this a nice snack as they dried...
