They've been getting off light due to the Ohio State situation, but they have a doozzy of a scandal/mismanagment going on over there in Morgantown. First off Oliver Luck is the new AD, he was widely acclaimed as a savvy and smart sports executive. He was an outstanding football player at WVU, played awhile for the Oilers as a backup, went to law school in the offseason and started a career in sports. He's run NFL Europe, He's run the Houston Dynamo MLS soccer team, amongst other things. So what's he do, he dives into the whole coaching in waiting thing, hires Ok State OCoord Dana Holgerson to be that guy. Now when Texas was looking around for a OCoord after we fired Greg Davis there was support for hiring him from OSU, but more than a few guys on the boards said that was a no go because he was single, young, good looking and liked to party with the ladies and drink more than a little. Apparently Luck didn't know any of this and was blindsided when Holgerson was kicked out of a WVa casino and reports of other bad behavior surface. I guess he forgot about vetting candidates. Then of course he has no clue that his current HC is really really against the whole coach in waiting and would pull dastardly tricks to embarass the new guy. Supposedly his wife called a sport jock and asked him to dig up dirt on Holgerson. Now of course the $555 has hit the fan and it appears that Luck is going to fire Stewart and let Party Boy take over the program early. That should be interesting. I believe other than him the rest of the staff are Stewart guys who I'm sure will be ever so happy that their buddy has been canned. Oliver Luck not looking too good right now. WVa Mess
