My previous rant on the weather has a little to do with the fact that it has been very warm this season. I grow peaches that "need" a certain amount of chill hours below 45 degrees (actually 150 hours, to be exact). We have had a total of 5 hours below 45 degrees  . This after I just finalized selling 1/2 my crop to Walmart two weeks ago for a $600,000 gross number. No chill hours no crop its as simple as that and my trees have said "what the hell" let's bloom were tired of waiting on winter to come. So with that in mind and my temporary meltdown last week I have "once again" realized I do not control the weather and it's time to accept what is given and run with it. So here are a few pics a photographer friend of mine took on Friday of the peach trees blooming....
Dammit Gipper why couldn't you have planned your trip earlier... 8) Winter is coming next Tuesday with at least 7 days with highs in the 60's and lows in the upper 30's....
Well if you have time on your hands..practical jokes are always good.. The wife will get a laugh out of this one!
It's supposed to be 81 on Christmas Eve here. Since I'm not farmin I have zero complaints about that..... It sure beats a 35 and raining "brown" Christmas which has been typical of the weather up in Michigan recently......yuck
I hear ya Dave, on the days the humidity is absent its as nice as it gets. Being raised in Florida makes the Christmas songs and frosty the snowman ideas a very foreign topic to relate to.
