    ....doable...but not easy.

I think with 5 weeks off that Dorsey should be stronger if not 100% and the rest of LSU's walking wounded makes a recovery to give LSU all of it's weapons.

The game is in New Orleans and even though OSU fans will be there, LSU fans will be strong in number.

Tressel has his work cut out for him but 41-14....41-14...41-14...all summer and fall above the weight room door will have this team fired up and bloodthirsty.

Should be an out and out war of great magnitude.

We've had a few walking wounded ourselves....our kids went twelve weeks in a row with a bye week - unlike the majority of other schools who spent at least one weekend during the season taking a break or eating cheeseburgers in the parlance of the day.

We lost our best D-lineman for the year in the 1st qtr of game 1. Beanie hasn't been healthy all season and a healthy Beanie is a different animal in every sense of the word. The world hasn't seen this Buckeye team with their "A" game intact. Hopefully they will have that opportunity.

If it is LSU, I'm thrilled and thrilled to be playing them in NO.....if not LSU, I have not doubt there are other opponents out there that will make for a great, great challenge and I hope our kids are up to it.

    Congrats, BT!

But as MCG points out it is a tough assignment. But to help you through this, think of LSU coached by Les Miles an a Bayou version of Michigan, coached by Lloyd Carr. In other words, LSU is a supremely talented team that has the capacity to woodshed anybody. But, they also seem to find ways to lose games they have no business losing. My hope is that Tressel will assist LSU in finding a way to lose.

    Bobda,

given this crazy system, we ain't there till we're there.....that said I think whomever the pollsters decide they would like as our opponent will no doubt be a fine team and present a great challenge to our kids......as for me, I'd like to see Miles' LSU bunch in the Superdome after his dance with M.....nothing could be more fitting. We'll give him a taste of what he's missing....

I did see with great amusement that now, as suddenly as a possible Gator/M matchup appears possible, M has become a great threat in the estimation of some of our SEC friends. Comedy at its very best.....

Well, gotta give Michigan their props as they DID defeat Illinois ... and did it on the Illini home field, I recall.

After that Appy St game, Mich went 8-3 against a decent schedule, #25, which was the toughest in the Big-10/11, I beleive.

And it will be a mismatch with the #5 SEC team going against the #3 Big-10/11 team.

It just floors me how some just cannot embrace reality.

Any Ohio State fan who thinks Hart and Henne gave Ohio State their best shot is totally delusional.

Not saying you are BT because maybe you don't truly believe that....as the Dreamtrippin Rodney...er TB seems to think about Tebow playing Georgia.

Bobda...I responded to that in the other topic.

I am sure you watched...( or maybe fell asleep) when that shell of a Michigan offense sputtered and tripped on it's own feet vs. OSU.

Hart was valiant but very gimpy and un-Hart like and Henne barely was himself or didn't play at all at times.

These healed-up guys will be a factor in the warmth of Orlando and Manningham will victimize the Florida secondary that was victimized all year by lesser receivers.

    A high scoring game awaits.

This post game excerpt from the MI-OSU game says it all:

"The Wolverines gained just 15 yards rushing with Mike Hart gutting it out through a gimpy ankle for 44 yards. Chad Henne struggled through his shoulder injury to complete 11 of 34 passes, but he was plagued by several drops. The Buckeyes held on to the ball for 37:50 as Michigan converted just three of 18 third down conversion attempts."

Well, expecting this BCS+1 matchup (although not agreeing with it) I'd decided to go with the conference loyalty thing and pull for LSU. However, after due consideration, I'm going to really pull for the Buckeye. I don't want another 6 months of "long lay off", "team wasn't focused", and "it was a home game for LSU".

Please let the Buckeye win this game!!!! 8)

And yes, I know that M did beat Ill this year. But, I think the result of the game was caued by great play by Henne and the lack of maturity on the Illini who shot themselves in the foot against us with several bad penalties done at times when they had the chance to put the game away.

Zook finally has this team to the point where they believe they can play with anyone. And they can.

All I needed to post about that Mich-Ill game.

The Mich-Ill game was classic Zook coaching same as the OSU-Ill game was.

Zook is like a box of chocolates, etc.. etc...

Mo, read your post. We agree that the Gators will spin the scoreboard on offense.

Henne and Hart should be healed by Jan 1. Florida fast defense should be able to neutralize our zone blocking scheme and keep Hart in check. Henne might be able to pass effectively against Fla if he has the time to throw. I am not sure he will have the time. Our offensive schemes are pretty simplistic and my guess is that Urban and his staff will have a pretty good idea by jan 1 on how to shut us down .

If Henne has time and our receivers play well, we have a shot to win in a shootout. But, I am taking Florida and the points in this one.

It is interesting that Miles could be just another "Michigan man" for Tressel to lay a beating on. I wonder if Miles feels that way in reverse just a little.....and personally I think he does.

There also is a similar situation in the Cap One bowl.

Florida's coach has a portrait of Woody Hayes in his living room and his entire family is from Ohio as is he. Certainly Meyer knows who Michigan is and you would think he's got a special feeling about preparing for the Maize and Blue.
