Kids' name is David Ruffer. Supposedly out of Siegfried Hall playing interhall football. Has some sort of college kicking experience(maybe a juco transfer?) anyway....Weis brings him over and he kicks one from 25, then 30, 35, 40, 45 etc......right down the middle with plenty left over. Weis and company check him out, he's qualified....give him a uniform and pads and put him on the bus.....WELCOME TO THE TEAM. Let's go kick some UW butt kid!!!

That's what I'm hearin anyway. Hey, can't be any worse than what we got goin now.

I love this story. ND interhall football is almost unique. Dorms are supplied with unis, pads and a coach. I loved my time playing IF. I went to a high school that didn't have a football team and this was my first chance of playing organized tackle football. There were kids playing IF that were all-state players in places like Idaho, and Vermont but always wanted to go to ND and did.
Ruffer could be playing as early as Sat. Move over Rudy we got a real Cinderella story brewing.
