In the Houston Chronicle they have an ariticle today outling how the league has changed in the 4 years since Bo Pellini last coached for Neb and OU. Back then we were a running league.

Now we are a high flying passing league, much like the old Pac10 I used to love so much!! :)

Graham Harrell of Texas Tech is likely to set NCAA records for career and season in passing. Chase Daniel, Todd Reisling both had great years passing for Missouri and Kansas respectively. along with Sam Bradford of OU, and Cody Hawkins of Colorada. Then don't forget that as a RS Frosh Colt McCoy of Texas garnered Heisman Trophy support. But that was before his injury in the KState game followed by being manhandled and fouled by the Aggies in Austin on Turkey Day. He now finds himself sort of forgotten as a B12 QB.

    Welcome Bo Pellini

....something tells me that Bo is gonna be just fine. In any era, in any league, with any of the latest fashions, his kids will just continue to hit you in the mouth and kick your arse......until the whistle blows, for 4 quarters. That never goes out of style in this game and he was always about that....don't worry about Bo.

I regretfully have to agree with Buckeye T on this one. For whatever reason, I'm not a big fan of Bo but Bo knows defense. If he can reignite the Black Shirt image and couple that with his in-your-face, smack you in the mouth style he's going to be winning at Nebraska for a really long time. I think this was the best hire in college football last year. His persona fits so perfectly with what Nebraska football is all about. His prior experience at the school is just bonus points. I foresee a resurrection in Lincoln.

Love him or not, Bo is old school. Bo came from the cradle of football and learned at the knee in a culture that believed in hard-nosed, in your face, physical to the whistle until the gun goes off football. He was not the most gifted of athletes but nobody wanted to come across the middle when Bo was playing in the secondary. He was not the biggest, nor the fastest but became a great leader through great effort, smarts and attitude and captained some fairly decent defenses.....I think the "blackshirts" are back. Good for Bo, good for the Huskers, good for college football.

Stu, yes, let's be very clear....that would be Bo Pelini! Although the other guy was pretty hard-nosed as well....
