Ohio State has rented and sold out Lloyd Noble Center (Oklahoma Basketball Arena) for a pep rally prior to the game. Seating capacity is approximately 11,500. Ohio State fans always travel very well.

Should be a great start for a very meaningful game for both teams. GO BUCKS!

I think I remember the number of fans in Austin for the 2006 game was close to 30K. Many came to Austin even though they had no tickets, Stu, GMan and his grandson Josh though were with me and had tickets!! :) But 6th street was awash with Buckeyes the night before the game.

ND fans reported the trip to Norman was very good, nice fans who welcomed them to town. No incidents.

This will be a big game for OU, they desperately need a win to stay in the hunt for a playoff berth, loss here and then the loss to Texas coming up will pretty much be tapps for their season! ;)

Just looking at the schedule this weekend... a lot of very big games.

    Ohio State at OU

FSU at Louisville, we'll see if Lamar Jackson is the real deal.

Texas at CAL, first big road game for the freshman QB

Mich State at ND ..big rivalry renewed.

Houston at Cincy ...Thurs Night, Coogs rested a number of players including their starting qB and RB vs Lamar.

Miami at App State ...road game to App State still surprises me.

Oregon at Neb ...is it Duck hunting season in Neb yet?

Alabama at Ole Miss...if Ole Miss hadn't gotten run over by FSU already
this would be an even bigger game, as it is I'm sure kp and Saban both tired of losing to Ole Miss

Texas A&M at Auburn. First big game of the year for Aggies, Auburn did pretty well vs Clemson in the opener.

Miss State at LSU...I'm guessing this will be a low scoring game.

USC at Stanford...Tree's hate these guys, Trojans desperately need the win to regain some respect lost in the Alabama debacle.

Ohio at Tenn... I expect that the Tenn team that put 24pts up in the 2nd qtr vs Va.Tech will be the team we see here. Ohio did however beat Kansas!

Idaho at Wazzu....no way they start 0-3, I expect a 70 point explosion

North Texas at UF...should be a walk in the Swamp for the Gators.

Colorado at Mich. While it's not like Colorado has been playing the '85 Bears, they have had 2 good wins where they scored a lot of points. I don't expect they will beat Mich but they might present a good challenge for Harbaugh.

I did my best to research exactly why we are playing in Boone this weekend Terry but only found its a home and away series with next years game in Miami. I remember reading that this game is the result of somebody dropping us to cover a conference requirement, and think it involved the SEC. The result left the university scrambling to fill the void and presto here we are.

Points to acknowledge in this game:

Appalachian St. according to what I've read is calling this the most important game in the history of their football program.

ESPN Decided to pick up the game to televise.

LOL, Miami is doing very well at the moment with attendance. The Mark Richt era has energized the faithful along with the $500 million dollar improvements to what is now called Hard Rock Stadium, I have heard no complaints and only praise for the new experience. I think we are averaging 67,000 for the last two games played.

And I have to say Notre Dame has no idea of these kinds of issues as they are the pinnacle of scheduling in college football. I'm not even sure our so called home and away series with you can be called that as we play in South Bend for the away and then end up in either Chicago or Yankee stadium for what should be our home game. Smart business for the Irish as evidently the Cane administration was smoking bad tobacco...

Either way this weekends game is a lose, lose for Miami as we are expected to win and if we lose it is a David vs Goliath made for TV event that we will never live down...

Um... I'd say UCLA was our FIRST big game... this is just our first big road game.

    :p

    Ohio State at OU
Hmmm I kinda expect Urban to burn Big Game Bob to the ground... but who knows.

    FSU at Louisville
I suspect Louisville is about to come back to earth.

Texas at CAL, first big road game for the freshman QB .
Cal is horrible. If you don't put 48 on them I'll be stunned.

Mich State at ND ..big rivalry renewed.
Interesting. I don't know anything about the Spartans...so this one could go any which way.

    Houston at Cincy
    Yawn...

Miami at App State ...road game
Wow... this must be the 1 for 10 return game. UM AD probably never thought this year would actually come around!

Oregon at Neb ...is it Duck hunting season in Neb yet?
I wonder if AJ's boys have a little Blackshirt left in them to smack the Quacks? I doubt it but I've been wrong before.

Alabama at Ole Miss... Everyone gushes about Chad Kelly and he does have talent, but he also has some Bo Wallace in him. He makes several bad choices per game and a still smoldering Bama is NOT the team you want to do that against. I say the Tide light 'em up.

Miss State at LSU... Terry got it right! 3-2!

USC at Stanford... I'm guessing this one kicks off about 11:30 Central, so I bet I get to watch a little of it! Stanford seems better, but you never know with the condom heads...

Ohio at Tenn... The Vols will run over these guys easily. It's a stout D front they have to worry about later in the season.

Idaho at Wazzu....No comment out of respect for my bud...

North Texas at UF... Dear Lord... who did this? It will be worse than the PV game I was subjected to last weekend.

    Colorado at Mich.
CU is pretending like they play ball again. if it was a mile high, I'd say they have a chance. At lower levels... probably not so much.

Wazzu is 71-16-3 all-time against Idaho, with the last losses in '99 and '00. Cougars have outscored the Vandals 340-93 in that span. I guarantee a win in this one, folks.

Texas fans are pretty pumped as can be expected after suffering through the last few years of the Mack Brown era and the rough start that Strong had..but now there is a lot of talk that we have a shot at undefeated. One of the MOD's on Inside Texas said he didn't see a team on the schedule right now that he'd not predict a win. Beat OU and it could be a season sweep and a Playoff berth for the Longhorns.

While an unbeaten season is more than a little luck, right now if they keep playing the way they are even with an upset or two it'll still be a great season and go a long way towards returning the Longhorns to the elite and retaking the State of Texas in recruiting.

Vegas now has the Buckeyes a 2 1/2 point favorite? Prior to losing to Houston,
    Oklahoma was a 9 1/2 favorite.

Ralph if Miami can start having big crowds at all home games that will really make a difference, not just financially but it would seem to be a good thing for recruiting. You guys have traditionally had good crowds for big name opponents like FSU, Notre Dame, UF, etc but not so much for the lesser teams on your schedule. No doubt recruits who visit say FSU and see a sellout crowd even though it's a ho hum opponent and then see a half empty stadium for a ho hum opponent in Miami would seemingly be inclined to go where the support is more rabid! :(

    Two things about Leach's comments:

    1. What is a JC softball team?

    2. With all the things he lists as the team's problems, at what point does it come back to coaching? Or is he recruiting the wrong kind of athlete? Which is it, coach?

They list Elmer Fudd as the starting QB? I wonder if they called JO'Co for the roster!! :) Wabbits everywhere.

JT Barrett finally gets his shot at the Sooners...he always wanted to beat them, playing for Texas though in the Red River Rivalry. Didn't work out that way, Texas took Tyrone Swoopes whose body was more like Vince Young.

    Terry

If you didn't play in the 2016 version of the Big East Id laugh.
But that league is so poor you might just pull off an undefeated regular season.
After that the Horns will be first round cannon fodder but you can say you made it!

OK so the MAC suspended the 8 game officials from the Ok State debacle for 2 games...so the B12 hired them to do Iowa State games. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Lamar Jackson QB Louisville the new #1 in the ESPN Heisman Poll. Now he gets a prime time game vs FSU and their wunderkind RS Fr QB Deondre Francois who is also in the race.
