Some big games this week, Oregon vs MSU and of course Michigan at Notre Dame in South Bend. Buckeyes will meet Virginia Tech for the first time in Columbus with an 8:00 kickoff time on ESPN. I am anticipating the Hokies will try and blitz us often, with out inexperienced offensive line. Fell free to chip in with your thoughts and concerns.
Sorry to see Notre Dame and Michigan series ending. This should be an interesting game. Same with Va. Tech. OSU should win this one but like I said before, Va Tech will be well coached even if out-manned. Oregon vs MSU should be another great contrast in styles. It's early in the year so you don't really know what to expect. 8)
Kp, I see where the Tide has lost a couple of starters. That is now how you like to start the football season!
News Flash, after the first games the Gators are Have not given up a score Have not given up any yards Have zero turnovers Are unbeaten Of course we also have Zero offensive yards Haven't scored Have zero take aways No wins
Those are some pretty good games. We are going to the next two games and stay with our daughter for a week. The game this week is 4 o'clock so I doubt we get to see any of this games.
I know its a game 2 posting but I still think my favorite moment of week 1 is the post game Navy/OSU where both teams honored the other school as they sang their school anthem, it was impressive as hell....My hats off to both coaches
Ralph, I was impressed with measure myself. We need to honor our armed forces personnel. Tough loss for the Hurricanes last night. Louisville looks like a pretty decent ball club. Make sure you put that new cheap washer to good use!
Ralph Navy and Notre Dame have been doing something like that for awhile now. The Navy players stand behind the ND players while we sing the Alma Mater with the students and then the ND players stand behind the Navy players while they sing theirs. Actually started by Charlie Weis.
To me MSU-Oregon has playoff implications written all over it. Possibly ND-Mich too depending on how the season plays out.
Gip, the USC game is a mid afternoon game. M/ND is a night game so they do not conflict. Unfortunately, MSU/ Ore. is also a night game. http://lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm
(note to self, .... remind Anne to buy lots of Florida peaches when she goes grocery shopping tomorrow)
Lol, Bobda they are out of season at the moment but keep that list for next April/May...The only thing we are growing at the moment is sunburns and mosquito bites (Lord its been a hot summer) ... 8) We have started testing our tangerines for maturity and will start harvest hopefully in a week or two...
Ha If we were only blood brothers it would be different, there's power in the blood... Besides the Wolverines have always been my 2nd go to team since childhood..
Sure as hell has been..... But I have been hearing the north is headed for another doozy of a winter this year...... so I ain't complaining and I'll be enjoying those 75 degree Jan. days when it's 30 below up there.....
