Wake giving FSU all they can handle. FSU has no running game and Xavier Lee, who has a cannon for an arm, really is kind of raw. Sort of reminds me of Jarious Jackson.

    Good game though.

    And great outcome!

But what about the start? Anyone see that punting fiasco at the beginning? FSU opens by going 3 & out and punts, Wake guys cross up each other so no one fields it, the balls glances off a FSU's players back (which no one notices at first), touches a Wake player pretty clearly and a FSU players dives on it to recover. Flag was thrown for a block in the back on Wake. After much deliberation, they signal to give the ball to Wake after the penalty. FSU coaches pop a vein because FSU recovered the ball. The play goes under review. Many minutes of confusion pass, then they say the ball hit the Nole first so it was dead then, Wake's ball. But they say the ball hitting the FSU guy's back was illegal touching or something and decide it's still 4th down FSU (pre-kick). But then they mark off the 10-yard block in the back penalty from FSU's 4th down spot, and sure enough, it gives them a first down. So after 20 minutes of deliberation on the punt, FSU has first down. I don't get it. The talking heads where quite confused, but finally decided to let it drop because the game was finally going again. Luckily FSU was inept and only managed a second 3 & out.

After all that, my favorite quote, I think ever, from the commentators came late in the middle of the first half after neither team could move the ball. They were going to commercial and referred to the game as an "offensive pillow fight". Ha! Loved it! FSU in an offensive pillow fight! Should have recorded that one for posterity.

No doubt FSU has lost some measure of it's toughness on defense and overall athleticism and this is one happy Gator that ain't cryin' about it.

    Too bad....so sad noles.

The way the refs finally called that play makes no sense, but I'm not qualified to say how it should have been called.

Geez, sorry I missed the post above.

That doesn't seem like the right call to me, but hey it's ACC refs!
