Hey...I guess Americans are more forgiving of a lied about BJ than one might think.... "http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/05/12/bush.clinton.poll/index.html" Damn...maybe the bumpkins didn't vote in this one.
You should be pleased and relieved that Clinton was President in an era where his public philandering , Hollywood hobnobbing and extravagant vacations were the only issues he was involved in of any consequence. Can you imagine how he would have reacted to the myriad of incredible events that Bush has been confronted with?
No doubt 9-11 was the most catastrophic event ever encountered by any U.S president on the mainland except for Jackson's 1812 and Lincoln's Civil War. Otherwise I see Iraq as W's own folly or at least that of his and Cheney's combined folly. The resultant oil crisis and price gouging lies with W as well except for the global demand issue. Who knows...maybe in these times Willy would have been too busy running the country for personal gratifications.
Actually, it was perjury not lying. There's a large difference but apparently not to you. Your accuracy suffers as usual as does you "more forgiving" spin that was neither a part of the poll nor the article. Very Goebbels of you. Voters care about what happened last, not what happened last week, much less 6 or 8 years ago. Waves of illegals, gas prices, threat of inflation, body bags, the nuclear threat from Iran, North Korea, and Al Queda, NSA monitoring phone calls, and who got knocked off American idol are current topics of concern to voters/pollees. Of course, I still remember "Black Hawk Down" and the dead Americans that Clinton got butchered because he didn't want to sent armor to Mogodishu because it would look like overkill. Damn good thing the Pakistanis did. MCG, you're trying to beat the drum of the evils of two lessors. "Hey, isn't it great my guy's got company in the gutter." Aim low, shot low. Like Jimmy Carter, the best part of Clinton's presidency is he's that now he's an EX-PRESIDENT. It will be the highlight of Bush's legacy as well.[/quote] Correction:UN claims Iran has enriched uranium http://www.bangkokpost.com/breaking_news/breakingnews.php?id=96357

Well said Jack. RE: uranium story...I have not seen anything on that. Link?
I corrected the errror in my initial post and added a link and some text from the article. Thanks whobe for noting it.
George, I think we can all be thankful that none of these events happened under Clintons watch. Another George Bush bashing post by Motorcity. What a surprise. I can stay away for several weeks and be pretty sure of catching one of his rants. Gator Bill
"Rants" Bill? I don't see where I ranted in this topic but I did comment on Iraq. I figured the public opinion poll this topic is about would somehow become personalized like it was my own poll instead of a national poll. Usually when I report news that doesn't agree with you that's what you do.
The poll belongs to the pollsters. We all recognize that. But, you chose to personalize it with your misrepresentation what the poll was about. See my first paragraph in my first post in this thread. Why didn't you just post the title of the poll or the article's title? You lead with your chin and and then cry "VICTIM!"
Jack, My interpretation of that poll was that it was a comparison of national public opinion on identical aspects of performance of the presidencys of both George W and Clinton. Did I represent it as something else? My BJ reference was maybe a lame attempt at humor. I guess in a specific sense yes it was not about the BJ and if that's how you think I represented the intent of the poll then you are taking what I say in jest pretty seriously.
