It had to happen. I've read about this before and know that a few colleges are using it, apparently Phil Fulmer and David Cutliffe at Tenn in 2007 were the first to put it in place. According to the article in the link last year 6 teams used it (but other than Cincinnati don't know who) and 5 more will be putting it in place this year including Notre Dame. Pretty interesting. These kids today grow up playing video games and Madden is the most popular, so it understandable that they base it on that. They are expanding it to include other positions besides QB as well. I read the article. It's pretty cool and probably is at least part of the reason why UC was so deep in competent QBs. As they say in the article, Pike's backup didn't miss a beat last season when Pike went down for a few games.
