Only the 6th no-hitter in the Tigers 107 year history and the first since Jack Morris in 1984! Wowza!

The WRKO radio announcers have been giving continual updates on Verlander's progress during the Sox game. Congratulations to a well-deserving pitcher.

This was a pretty good Brewer team. They're leading their division. The Tigers just came off a series with the Mets where they scored 23 runs in the last 2 games.
Going into the evening the Tigers and Red Sox were 20-4 in interleague play since the beginning of last season. (of course that doesn't count the World Series....gag!)

Then both are 21-4 now. Papelbon just closed out the Rockies by striking out Todd Helton. Good outing for Wakefield, too.

    Morning, Joel!
