Three articles about the Texas A & M move to the SEC, all by the same writer. In the first one he takes Texas to task about some of their remarks about the SEC, but also links an article about the $$$$ the two teams moving to the SEC will mean to the SEC. Within the 2nd article is a link to the third. Terry, the first one does not reflect my opinion of Texas by any means, but I think does kind of set up the other two articles. Texas Afraid Of SEC SEC Network Worth A Billion Dollars 1 SEC Network Worth A Billion Dollars 2
I have to admit to not understanding what will interest people and what will not. Well off to play Bridge.
I've been meaning to read those articles Bill but haven't had the time! I didn't know Bridge was still played! Do you play Canasta as well? Gin Rummy?
Not so much Terry. We play Duplicate Bridge and a game called Hand and Foot. Duplicate Bridge calls for different strategies than Party Bridge. We just took it up about 3 years ago.
By the way Terry I only posted the first article because it linked to one of the other two which in turn linked to the third one. The first article is not very complimentary to Texas but I ignored that but did think the other two were interesting as to the $$$$.
You may be right Kesley, I included it for background and it where I got the link, but I think I will delete that link. It's deleted.
LOL Bill, you misunderstand me. I enjoyed the first article, but the only response I couldcome up with was not very polite, so I didn't post a response. Leave the link, it is amusing.
Go ahead, since I'm the only Longhorn fan on the board and I'm not likely to be offended! Might not agree with it, of course!
Read the first article and it does make sensible arguments. Missouri is supposed to be very highly rated this season and Texas A&M is thought to be very competitive so we will get a good look on how Texas might have fared in the big bad SEC. My guess is that another couple of losses would be tacked on each season and 12-0 or 11-1 seasons would be harder to come by.
