Javy Lopez is a solid ML catcher who's just now entering the downside of his career at age 35/36. He's a lifetime .290 hitter with 252 HRs and a three time All-Star, with his most recent All-Star appearance in 2003. The only objection to this guy that I've ever heard, is that he's overpaid at $7 million. At Baltimore, he was getting beat out by a younger catcher. We have the same situation here with Toby Hall, who will be a free agent at the end of the season. He should really help the Red Sox down the stretch. I've seen this guy a lot in the National League and he's a good hitter...
